Description

The company insures collectible and enthusiast vehicles, runs a car club, operates live and online sales in the U.S. and Europe, hosts driving events and concours, and publishes a car magazine.

This role leads the development and ongoing improvement of machine learning models, generative AI features, data pipelines and business intelligence reporting.

You will work with business owners, engineering, operations and other stakeholders to set product direction, deliver strong solutions and keep the technology aligned with changing business and customer needs.

The role calls for a product mindset, real technical depth and comfort working in complex teams with many moving parts.

Responsibilities

  • Own the product vision and roadmap for data and analytics, covering ML models, generative AI, pipelines, reports and dashboards.
  • Line up business goals with what the platform can do and with the technical limits you face.
  • Weigh business goals, customer needs and technical feasibility when ranking work.
  • Use user feedback, market shifts and competitor moves to guide new ideas and improvements.
  • Turn business needs and user insight into clear features and acceptance criteria developers can build from.
  • Work with stakeholders and subject matter experts to find opportunities, test solutions and sharpen features.
  • Rank enhancements by return, user impact and delivery effort.
  • Keep the product backlog current and tied to business priorities, balancing new work, upgrades and technical debt.
  • Work with development, architecture and QA from start to finish to deliver on time and at high quality.
  • Take part in sprint planning, reviews and retrospectives to keep improving how the team works.
  • Make sure solutions follow company best practices, architecture standards and enterprise integration patterns.
  • Work with business and engineering to weigh design choices, trade-offs and build approaches.
  • Track the technologies, platforms and regulations that affect product work.
  • Advocate user-centred design so that product experiences are intuitive and effective.
  • Support rollouts with documentation, training and internal enablement.
  • Collect feedback to improve usability and adoption over time.
  • Define KPIs and success measures, then track product performance and business impact.
  • Use data and insight to guide priorities, improvements and long-term strategy.
  • Serve as the product subject matter expert and trusted partner across business and technology teams.
  • Work through ambiguity and hard trade-offs, giving clear product direction and decisions.
  • Communicate clearly with stakeholders at every level.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of product management experience, ideally in a technical or SaaS setting.
  • Working knowledge of data products: machine learning, generative AI applications, data pipelines, and reporting and dashboards.
  • Solid technical understanding to collaborate with data scientists and engineers and grasp complex systems.
  • A record of owning product strategy, building roadmaps and shipping complex software.
  • Experience turning business requirements into product and technical deliverables.
  • Strong analysis and problem solving, with a data-led approach to decisions.
  • Experience in agile environments and a good grasp of modern software delivery.
  • Strong communication, collaboration and stakeholder management.
  • A user-focused approach, attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality products.
  • Insurance industry experience is a plus.
  • Experience with enterprise platforms or complex system integrations.
  • Familiarity with tools such as Azure DevOps or similar agile delivery platforms.
  • Exposure to regulated or compliance-driven product development, such as SOX.
  • You enjoy owning complex, mission-critical systems.
  • You are comfortable working across product, technology and finance.
  • You value clarity and precision over vague product language.
  • You like turning messy operational problems into scalable platform capabilities.
