Junior Product Manager (Corporate Segment)

Description

You will help shape what the company offers to small firms and self-employed customers while building your own product management expertise.

This is a junior role with considerable scope to learn and develop over time.

The work mixes strategic thinking with hands-on delivery, and your skills keep growing as you do it.

The company is developing its products for small businesses and self-employed clients.

Responsibilities

• Assist colleagues in refining the range for small firms and self-employed people.
• Take part in every stage of product development, from first concept and policy wording through governance to launch preparation, liaising with various internal teams.
• Follow market trends with more senior colleagues and turn them into new product ideas.
• Help define how the product range is positioned in the market and across distribution channels.
• Analyse market data, customer insights and distribution partner needs to back decisions with evidence.
• Monitor product profitability and suggest improvements.
• Gradually build relationships with internal and external stakeholders and learn to position products well.

Requirements

• Solid grounding in business insurance lines such as Property, Motor, Liability, Business Interruption, Accident and Electronics, or a willingness to deepen that knowledge.
• Preferably around 2 years of experience in product management or a similar role at an insurer or broker. Underwriting assistant or underwriter experience in this segment is an asset.
• Analytical thinking, a customer-focused approach and the initiative to act on opportunities you spot.
• Clear communication and comfort working with a range of stakeholders.
• Fluent Dutch and a good working knowledge of French and English.
• Eagerness to learn, a team player, open to new ideas and change.
• Bachelor's or master's degree, preferably in an economic or legal field, or equivalent experience.
• Fresh ideas and a willingness to take the initiative.
