Staff Software Development Engineer

The company is growing and is hiring a Staff Software Development Engineer to improve its products.

The company is a global software company, part of the Renesas Group, headquartered in San Diego, California. It builds a cloud-based platform that connects everyone involved in electronics development, from design through manufacturing.

You would join teams that work across the company's product range.

Responsibilities

• Write and rigorously test low-level code for computational geometry and algorithms, and high-level code for application and business logic.
• Create advanced algorithms and the specifications that underpin the company's software.
• Maintain and support existing source code across several products.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of software development experience.
• Strong C skills, including.NET Framework and.NET Core.
• Up-to-date programming techniques and design patterns.
• Experience tuning performance and memory use with tools such as PerfView, the Microsoft Visual Studio Profiler and RenderDoc.
• Ability to write efficient, compact code that runs across platforms.
• Deep knowledge of algorithms and data structures, with hands-on complexity analysis.
• Experience designing modular, easily extended systems that can grow over time.
• Clear written and spoken English for working in a professional team.
• Delphi skills are a definite advantage.
• Additional advantage: familiarity with CAD tools.
