You will also turn needs from internal users into clear requirements. Those users depend on the SaaS and licensed products you support.

Responsibilities

  • Create Salesforce triggers, components, pages and integrations in the Salesforce development environment.
  • Automate business processes with native Salesforce tools such as Workflow, Process Builder and Flow.

  • Work with SaaS and on-prem workflow tools, cross-system integrations, the database REST API and related application communication.
  • Handle routine administration, including database support, integration upkeep, configuration, reports, dashboards and workflows.
  • Run regular internal system audits and help the admin team prepare for upgrades.
  • Package deployments that move code from the company's DevOps platform to production systems.
  • Assess and scope new development requests, then complete them.
  • Work with the internal user team to identify changes, new requirements and next-phase targets for specialized applications used in administration, development and change management.
  • Independently gather and document development requirements with the user community.
  • Train new local users and write documentation for sustaining Salesforce use.

Requirements

  • A bachelor's degree (B.S.) in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Management Systems or a related field. Equivalent professional experience can be considered in place of the degree.
  • 5+ years of professional software development experience.
  • 2+ years of Salesforce.com development experience, including independently debugging codebases and making the necessary corrections.
  • 2+ years of direct.NET Framework experience and related C experience.
  • Strong data management skills and experience with system APIs and integrations, ideally with Salesforce or other financial organizational business systems.
  • Experience managing cloud-hosted services and running service integrations, preferably on AWS.
  • Deep knowledge of how Salesforce.com should be used and what the platform can do.
  • Strong grasp of the platform, with the ability to build custom components for user needs.
  • Desired: Relevant Salesforce add-on certifications, such as Salesforce.com Admin (ADM201 and ADM211), Platform App Builder, Platform Developer I or Platform Developer II.
  • Desired: A creative, analytical thinker with strong problem-solving skills.
  • Desired: Solid project support and delivery skills, plus a positive attitude.
  • Desired: A proven ability to meet deadlines, juggle simultaneous requests and manage peers and leadership.
  • Desired: Excellent verbal and written communication, and the ability to communicate effectively at every level of the organization.
