Description

Manching is a growing market town about an hour north of Munich. It offers a wide range of leisure and cultural activities, and the nearby cities are still within easy reach.

The team builds the flight control and flight management software for the Eurodrone, one of Europe's most advanced unmanned aerial systems. The Eurodrone is a high-profile, cornerstone European project, and its software will shape autonomous flight in the next generation.

You will join multidisciplinary teams of aerospace and software specialists working on the hard problems of unmanned flight.

The company employs people from more than 140 nationalities, and each person's input is heard.

Responsibilities

  • Write and optimise high-integrity, safety-critical embedded code for flight-critical functions.
  • Design, simulate and implement complex control laws and system behaviour using model-based development workflows.
  • Take part across the full lifecycle, from architecture and modelling through rigorous testing and verification to DO-178C standards.
  • Work with aerospace and software experts to solve the challenges of unmanned flight, knowing your work directly affects the safety and autonomy of the Eurodrone.

Requirements

  • A master's degree in computing, electrical engineering or a closely related technical field.
  • At least 3 years of professional experience in computer science or a related field.
  • Proven embedded software development experience, ideally in C, with a solid grasp of real-time constraints.
  • Experience with model-based development, or a strong interest in it, using tools such as ANSYS Scade or MATLAB/Simulink to drive system design.
  • An understanding of the discipline needed for high-integrity environments, such as DO-178C or similar safety standards.
  • A proactive attitude toward open, complex problems in autonomy and flight control.
  • Strong written and spoken English. German is a plus.
  • Awareness of compliance risks and a commitment to act with integrity.

Conditions

Permanent position based in Manching, about an hour north of Munich.

Professional experience level.

Flexible working arrangements are supported.

Equal opportunities apply to all applicants, and no payment is ever requested during recruitment.

Benefits

  • The pay is attractive, and special payments come on top.
  • 30 days of paid holiday leave, plus additional days off on special occasions.
  • Strong upskilling opportunities and international, group-wide development prospects.
  • Employer-funded pension, employee stock options, discounted car leasing, special insurance terms, public transport subsidies, and employee benefits at partner companies.
  • On site: a medical officer for check-ups and health services, a canteen and cafeteria, and a kindergarten close to the site.
  • Support for family life through job sharing, part-time models, flexible hours and individual time out.
  • The company invests in skills for tomorrow's technologies, not only today's.
  • Not a 100% match? The company still offers customised development solutions to support your personal growth.
