Sr Software Engineer - Agent Identity Security - Veza

Description

The team works on identity security for AI agents, which are spreading quickly across enterprise systems. It is building next-generation identity governance for non-human identities and agents, and it helps shape emerging industry standards for the AI agent ecosystem.

The team's work covers finding agents, tracking what they do, and defining access management and runtime authorization to keep security strong.

This is a high-impact startup working at the leading edge of identity and access management, and the access risks that AI agents create are the core problem you will solve.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and scale an identity security solution for AI agents that can manage many different agents across various applications and systems.
• Work with product management, other engineering teams, and security experts to turn hard security problems into robust, scalable, production-grade features.
• Own each feature from first idea and design through deployment, monitoring, and upkeep.
• Use AI techniques and tools to improve and strengthen the Agent Security product.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field.
• 3+ years of backend software development, focused on APIs, microservices architecture, or related areas.
• Strong skill in one or more programming languages, such as Golang or Java.
• Experience designing and implementing RESTful APIs and microservices architectures.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform, and familiarity with their IAM services and features.
• A genuine interest in distributed systems, including designing, developing, debugging, and monitoring them.
• Knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases, caching mechanisms, and distributed systems.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. You can work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced setting.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• A strong sense of feature ownership, from ideation to deployment.
• Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes is a plus.

Conditions

Base pay is $143,200 - $243,400 for positions in this location. Equity (when applicable), variable or incentive compensation, and benefits are offered on top of base pay.

The base pay shown is a guideline. Total compensation varies with qualifications, skill level, competencies, and work location, and pay is based on the geographic location where the role sits and may change with it.

Work personas (flexible, remote, or required in office) are assigned based on the nature of the work and the assigned work location. The company may use a third-party service to measure the distance between your home and the nearest office to determine eligibility.
