Business Unit Overview

The Quantitative Engineering and Development (QED) team is a front-office quantitative technology and analytics group within TD Securities that supports the Global Equity Derivatives business. The team develops and enhances pricing models, risk analytics, trading tools, and automation solutions that enable efficient execution, risk management, and client service across a broad range of derivatives products. Working at the intersection of quantitative finance, software engineering, and capital markets, QED partners with trading, sales, structuring, and technology teams globally to deliver innovative solutions that advance the firm's analytical capabilities and support business growth.

Global Equity Derivatives (GED) is seeking a highly motivated Front Office Quant Engineer to design, develop, and maintain technology solutions that enhance the productivity and effectiveness of our trading and sales teams.

This role sits directly within the front office and focuses on building automation, workflow solutions, analytics platforms, and intelligent systems that streamline day-to-day business activities. The successful candidate will work closely with traders, salespeople, quantitative analysts, and technology teams to identify opportunities for automation and deliver scalable solutions that improve decision-making and operational efficiency.

The Front Office Quant Engineer will serve as a force multiplier for the trading and sales desks, leveraging technology, automation, quantitative analysis, and AI-driven solutions to enable business users to focus on higher-value activities while reducing manual effort, operational complexity, and time-to-market.

The role combines software engineering, quantitative analysis, and financial markets expertise. While the primary focus is technology development and process automation, the successful candidate must possess a solid understanding of quantitative methods, financial modeling concepts, and derivatives products. The individual should be comfortable working with existing pricing and risk models, developing analytical tools, and contributing to model-related initiatives when needed.
