The Atlas team runs the cloud database service, the company's fastest-growing product, which lets customers launch fault-tolerant, globally distributed clusters in minutes.

The Identity and Access Management team handles authentication and authorization across the whole service, from the underlying platform to user-facing features.

The team builds both a platform and a product, serving internal engineers and external customers from startups to large enterprises.

Responsibilities

• Lead medium-sized full-stack projects from technical design through to delivery.
• Work with colleagues at every stage, from ideation and requirements gathering through design, build, and delivery.
• Hold yourself to the company's leadership principles and show them in your daily work.
• Keep learning and stay curious as your career grows.
• Within 1 month, ship code to production.
• Within 3 months, deliver a project alongside other engineers on the team.
• Within 6 months, lead the technical design, build, and delivery of a project.

Requirements

• Show 2+ years of professional experience shipping full-stack web applications.
• Be skilled in a modern compiled language such as Java, Go, C, or C++.
• Be willing to learn JavaScript or TypeScript and modern frontend tools such as React and Redux.
• Prior experience with those frontend tools is a plus.
• Communicate clearly and effectively in writing and in conversation.
• Be collaborative, empathetic, and intellectually honest.

Conditions

Based in the Toronto office.

The base salary range for this role in Canada is $122,000 to $170,000 CAD.

Final pay depends on each candidate's skill set, experience, qualifications, and work location.

Base salary is one part of the total pay and benefits package.
