Description

You will join full-time engineers and cross-functional colleagues, picking up standard development practices while getting hands-on software engineering work.

Interns sit inside software engineering teams in the Product and Technology group and ship production code. Your work reaches internal teams, paying customers, and developers who use the company's products and services.

The company runs a cloud-native, globally distributed data platform on AWS, Google Cloud, and Microsoft Azure. It serves more than 67,000 customers, including AI-native startups and about 75% of the Fortune 100.

The internship runs for 12 consecutive weeks, starting in May or June 2027.

Responsibilities

• Ship production-level code that stays in use after the summer.
• Work alongside full-time engineers and teammates from other functions on live projects.
• Adopt the team's standard development methods as you go.

Requirements

• Be enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's program in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• Understand data structures, algorithms, and software design.
• Be fluent in at least one of Java, Python, Go, C++, JavaScript, Node.js, or a comparable object-oriented language.
• Have at least one quarter or semester of study left after the internship. Your graduation must fall in Fall 2027, Spring 2028, Summer 2028, Fall 2028, Spring 2029, or Summer 2029.
• You must be authorized to work in the United States.

Conditions

The role is a full-time internship of 40 hours per week for 12 consecutive weeks, running from May or June into August or September.

Interns work under the hybrid model, designated as in office, and are expected in their office location 3 to 5 days a week.
