Senior ETRM Analyst Developer

Description

The company is an energy business with a family of brands, around 21,000 staff, that makes, stores, moves, sells and repairs energy, and is working toward a system that does not depend on fossil fuels.

The role supports and builds the Energy Trading and Risk Management (ETRM) systems, with a main focus on the OpenLink Endur platform.

You will work with front, middle and back office and technology teams to design and deliver solutions for trading, operations and risk processes, keeping the trading systems reliable, scalable and ready for future needs.

Responsibilities

• Build, improve and maintain features in the OpenLink Endur platform.
• Design, build and support integrated applications for front, middle and back office teams, mainly in Java and OpenComponents.
• Analyse, debug and improve existing Oracle PL/SQL packages, procedures and database solutions.
• Work with business and technical stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver workable solutions.
• Take part in every phase of the software development lifecycle, from analysis and design through development, testing, implementation and release.
• Create and roll out automated testing and deployment solutions that raise delivery quality and speed.
• Write technical documentation, solution designs, user guides and support material.
• Find and fix production issues so systems stay stable and performant.
• Deliver work that meets agreed standards, timelines and quality expectations.

Requirements

• Experience in commodities, energy trading or financial services.
• Knowledge of energy trading, risk management, straight-through processing (STP) and operational processes.
• Solid track record building and supporting solutions on the OpenLink Endur platform.
• Hands-on work with OpenLink development technologies, including JVS and/or OpenComponents (Java).
• Strong Java skills and experience integrating enterprise applications.
• Solid Oracle PL/SQL database development skills.
• Experience supporting, troubleshooting and maintaining live trading systems.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for complex technical issues.
• Experience across several SDLC phases, including analysis, development, testing, deployment and support.
• Able to work independently while building good working relationships with technical and business stakeholders.

Conditions

Based at the Park House (Mayfair) office in London, with on-site presence 3 days a week.

Regular travel to other the company Energy locations, including Aalborg (Denmark) and Antwerp (Belgium).
