Description

The company is hiring a Senior Staff Product Designer for Design Technology and Craft, in the Technology Workflows group.

The role covers flagship next-generation AI platforms and design frameworks.

This is a hands-on craft role that combines visual design, motion, and front-end code. It is not a systems-architecture or wireframe-focused UX position.

You will act as the team's creative and technical anchor, setting the standard for visual depth, motion responsiveness, and production-quality prototypes.

You will work alongside product designers, design systems teams, and engineers to define how the company's AI experiences look, move, and react across complex enterprise workflows.

Responsibilities

  • Build high-fidelity interactive prototypes and sandboxes in React, modern CSS with tokens, and WebGL or Canvas to test new UX before it goes to production.
  • Define motion patterns, timing curves, elevation models, and dynamic state transitions for AI thinking, streaming, settling, and ambient feedback, then turn them into production-ready specifications.
  • Work with centralized design systems engineers to turn motion guidelines, visual tokens, and micro-interactions into components reused across workflows.
  • Pair with product designers on critical work, run code-based workshops, and help raise the visual and motion quality of the whole team.
  • Translate design intent into front-end code so motion behavior and pixel-level detail reach production intact.
  • Experiment quickly with AI-native design tools, algorithmic prototyping, and generative interaction methods to shorten design cycles.

Requirements

  • Preferred: Experience using AI in work processes, decisions, or problem-solving, such as AI tools, workflow automation, AI-driven insights, or the wider effect of AI on your field.
  • Preferred: 10+ years as a product designer, design technologist, creative technologist, motion designer, or hybrid visual/UI designer on complex web applications.
  • Preferred: A portfolio with high-end visual work, sophisticated motion, and working interactive prototypes.
  • Preferred: Strong skill in HTML5, modern CSS or SCSS, JavaScript or TypeScript, React, and component-based workflows.
  • Preferred: Deep experience with kinetic design and prototyping tools such as Framer, Principle, After Effects, Rive, or code libraries like Framer Motion or GSAP.
  • Preferred: Experience designing and building dynamic AI interactions, including agent state display, token streaming, and real-time feedback.
  • Preferred: Proven ability to work with and influence peers in product, design, and front-end engineering.
  • Basic: Experience scaling tokens and kinetic animation systems in enterprise design systems.
  • Basic: Solid background in micro-interactions, spatial elevation, accessibility such as reduced motion support, and web rendering performance profiling.
  • Basic: Familiarity with AI-native developer tools, code-based design environments, or LLM API integration for fast prototyping.
  • Basic: Prior experience bringing consumer-grade polish to complex enterprise, developer, or data-heavy workflows.
  • Basic: Bachelor's degree in Design, Computer Science, Human-Computer Interaction, or Digital Media, or equivalent practical experience.
