Description

The company's Space and Sensing Division is hiring a Senior Program Manager to lead one of its main special intelligence RDT&E efforts, which supports Space Force readiness.

The effort runs about $25M a year, with more than 30 people and 5 to 10 task orders active at the same time. It covers development, integration, testing and delivery of advanced RF collection systems, large-aperture antenna systems, and related software and hardware.

You will own cost, schedule and technical performance for high-visibility deliveries, work with suppliers rated under the Defense Priorities and Allocations System (DPAS), act as the main contact for government stakeholders, and lead a multidisciplinary engineering team through complex development cycles.

The current holder of this role is moving into a new leadership position in the division and will hand over through a structured transition.

The role is high-tempo and calls for strong systems knowledge, customer engagement and disciplined program execution.

Responsibilities

  • Own program execution across cost, schedule, technical performance, and risk and opportunity management, including P&L and Estimate-at-Completion (EAC) accountability.
  • Drive development and integration of RF collection systems, antenna payloads, and mechanical and electrical assemblies.
  • Coordinate vendor work, including DPAS-rated (DO/DX) procurements, technical evaluations, site surveys, Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) and delivery schedules.
  • Work closely with RF, software, mechanical and test engineers to confirm technical compliance and successful integration.
  • Oversee performance, environmental and system-level testing, analyze results, document issues and guide corrective actions.
  • Prepare and deliver customer progress briefs, monthly program reviews, design review packages (PDR/CDR), CDRL deliverables and technical reports.
  • Manage the contract tightly, covering task order execution, funding burn, deliverables and documentation on a mixed CPFF and FFP contract vehicle.
  • Lead and develop a cross-functional team, including hiring, performance management and staff development, while keeping work aligned with customer priorities and communication clear across stakeholders.
  • Keep the program ready by improving test processes, maintaining regulatory and export-control (ITAR/EAR) compliance, and enforcing safety protocols across integration and onsite work.
  • Find and pursue growth, including scope changes, technical enhancements, follow-on efforts and recompete positioning.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, physics or a related technical field, plus 10+ years of relevant experience.
  • 5+ years managing complex engineering programs in RF, SIGINT, space sensor or payload, or related DoD or IC development work.
  • Proven experience leading cross-functional engineering teams.
  • Experience with system testing, verification, environmental testing and vendor management.
  • Experience managing program finances, including EACs, funding burn and cost-type contract execution.
  • Excellent communication, briefing and customer-engagement skills.
  • US citizen with an active TS/SCI security clearance.
  • Desired: Master's degree in a relevant field (Electrical, Computer, Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering, ABET-accredited).
  • Desired: PMP certification.
  • Desired: 7+ years of systems or program management experience supporting SIGINT, Space or RDT&E programs.
  • Desired: Direct experience with antenna systems, RF or sensor systems, and system-level integration and test workflows.
  • Desired: Ability to interpret technical test data and drive root-cause analysis and corrective action.

Conditions

Full time, regular position based on-site in Sterling, VA.

Travel of up to 25% is required, including to supplier facilities and customer or integration sites outside the continental US.

Requires a US citizen with an active TS/SCI clearance to start.

The proposed salary range is $131,800 - $290,000.

Final pay depends on factors such as location, Federal Government contract labor categories and wage rates, prior relevant experience, specific skills, education and certifications.

Benefits

  • Flexible time off that lets you take the time you need.
  • Access to learning resources and continuing education.
  • Healthcare, wellness, financial, retirement and family support benefits.
  • Competitive compensation and learning and development opportunities.
