Description

The company makes materials science and engineering equipment used in nearly every new semiconductor chip and advanced display worldwide.

Its equipment and services support AI and help bring next-generation chips to market sooner.

This is an individual contributor role on the NSO team, working with Business Management Operations, Manufacturing, Engineering, Supply Chain, Planning, Quality and Configuration Management to run project execution, manage risk and keep customer requirements aligned with factory readiness. You will influence these teams without direct authority.

Responsibilities

  • Own end-to-end execution of assigned Non-System Orders (NSOs), from order release through shipment, as the main coordinator for complex, customer-specific system configurations.
  • Turn customer requirements passed on by Business Management Operations into workable manufacturing and project plans.
  • Build, maintain and share project schedules, key milestones, deliverables, dependencies and execution risks.
  • Coordinate engineering, manufacturing, material, quality and configuration work so it finishes on schedule.
  • Drive customer-specific configurations, engineering changes, BOM modifications, NSRs, CES requests and other non-standard requirements.
  • Assess and communicate how project changes affect delivery schedules, manufacturing readiness and shipment commitments.
  • Run project reviews, readiness reviews, production status meetings and issue resolution sessions.
  • Monitor project health, identify constraints and start recovery plans when commitments are at risk.
  • Work with Master Scheduling, Operations Management and Business Management Operations to set deliverable priorities and keep teams aligned.
  • Lead risk identification and mitigation, and escalate risks when needed.
  • Resolve manufacturing, quality, material and engineering issues that affect execution.
  • Support shipment readiness, including final test coordination, documentation reviews and production release requirements.
  • Keep project documentation, action items, schedule status and project metrics accurate.
  • Send timely status updates, risk assessments and recovery plans to stakeholders and leadership.
  • Find and put in place process improvements that make NSO execution more efficient, predictable and reliable for customers.
  • Support project and program objectives in your area, and confirm preliminary work such as outcomes, milestones, viability studies and resource planning is done.
  • Make sure projects are completed to set requirements, product and process specifications, cost targets, resource use and deadlines.
  • Document every phase of project, program and process development, and pass information to other functional areas as needed. Follow company rules on engineering and lab notebooks, patents, confidentiality and safety.
  • Study new technologies where relevant.
  • Support data collection for materials and financial resources.

Requirements

  • Strong project management, organization and prioritization skills.
  • Ability to manage several highly customized projects at once in a manufacturing setting that moves quickly.
  • Working knowledge of manufacturing operations, change management, configuration management and production planning.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication.
  • Ability to influence stakeholders and drive accountability across several functions.
  • Proven ability to manage risk, resolve conflicts and keep commitments when conditions change quickly.
  • No supervisory duties, but you give informal guidance to newer team members.
  • Solve problems in straightforward situations by weighing options against technical experience, judgment and precedent.
  • Explain complex information clearly to others in straightforward situations.
  • Build broader knowledge in your own discipline and understand the key business drivers behind your work.
  • Your work affects the quality of your own output and your team's, and you work within guidelines and policies.
  • The role may require long periods of standing, walking, working in tight spaces, bending, squatting, twisting, kneeling, reaching and lifting, plus distinguishing colors, working in noisy areas and using hand and power tools.
  • The role may involve clean room work, where personal protective equipment such as coveralls, hoods, booties, safety glasses, gloves, respirators, chemical aprons and face shields may be required.
