Description

This is a hybrid role based in Utah, with some regular in-office days each week. Employment is contingent on passing both a background check and a credit check.

The company is building a people intelligence platform for HR and is using AI to streamline its internal workflows, freeing time for higher-impact innovation. It looks for curious people who want to explore how AI can improve their work and reshape HR.

The employee journey runs from hiring through onboarding, performance, compensation, benefits, development and learning, rewards and recognition, and community. The company is a proven market leader that grows steadily and sustainably, and it wants people who grow both professionally and personally, individually and as a team.

The company is committed to full inclusion of qualified people with disabilities and will provide reasonable accommodations during hiring. To request one, tell your recruiter.

The company is an equal opportunity employer and welcomes M/F/D/V applicants.

Responsibilities

  • Own engineering results across the employee journey, spanning multiple teams, by finding the most important problems and planning how to solve them.
  • Turn the employee-journey strategy into one shared direction for Product, Technology, Customer Experience, and go-to-market leaders. Explain tradeoffs, decisions, priorities, and risks so teams and executives can act on them.
  • Drive product development that is built around AI from the start, turning customer problems into applied-AI features that deliver measurable value across the employee journey.
  • Change how engineering teams work by setting up agentic practices that raise speed, quality, and learning.
  • Make sure decisions get carried out by setting operating routines, flagging risk early, clearing cross-team dependencies, and staying with work until it delivers measurable results.
  • Build a leadership team of engineering managers and senior technical leaders who deliver results, hold clear accountability, show strong judgment, and have depth to succeed them.
  • Set the technical standard for architecture, quality, reliability, security, privacy, and overall technical health across the portfolio, and make the tradeoffs needed to modernize while still shipping.

Requirements

  • 15+ years in software development and engineering leadership, including 5+ years in a Director-level or similar leader-of-leaders role across multiple SaaS product teams.
  • A record of spotting important problems that are unclear and owning measurable outcomes across organizational boundaries.
  • Strong product and business judgment: you start from customer outcomes, make company-level tradeoffs, and know what to leave alone.
  • You use AI fluently in your own leadership work, have guided engineering teams through an agentic transformation, and know where human review is still essential.
  • Experience leading AI-native products from choosing the problem through to production, with measurable customer value.
  • Disciplined execution: you turn strategy into priorities, owners, operating routines, metrics, and reliable delivery.
  • A record of developing engineering managers and senior technical leaders who grew their judgment, scope, and organizational impact and built leadership depth and succession coverage.
  • Deep architectural and technical experience modernizing and running secure, reliable SaaS systems at scale.
  • Excellent cross-functional and executive communication, with a record of getting Product, Technology, Customer Experience, and go-to-market leaders aligned on shared outcomes.
  • A bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
