Senior Software Engineer role based at 811 Excellence Dr, Bentonville, AR 72716.

You will work in collaborative engineering teams on features, models and platform components, from build through ongoing support.

Responsibilities

• Build, test and support scoped features or ML model parts across the services, APIs and user interfaces assigned to you.
• Own software delivery from CI/CD releases through automated tests, observability, monitoring and upkeep.
• Write clean, efficient, dependable code in JavaScript, TypeScript, Python, Java, Rust, Dart or C++.
• Create scripts that automate repetitive work, and add telemetry on your own initiative.
• Review code structure, and help triage and debug defects.
• Connect AI agents and ML components to internal and external APIs, and use GenAI tools such as GitHub Copilot to move faster.
• Apply object-oriented design and documentation-driven coding to keep code modular and consistent.
• Turn high-level designs into detailed ones using mock screens, pseudo code and functional logic, and take part in design reviews.
• Weigh trade-offs to design scalable, secure, maintainable systems that meet the company's standards.
• Work with stakeholders to pin down complex business or user problems, turn them into technical requirements and set success metrics.
• Carry out complex maintenance, watch application performance, and track milestones through reporting, CI/CD tooling and logs.
• Own the quality and performance of what you ship, supporting uptime and a good customer experience.
• Mentor peers, share knowledge and keep learning.
• Take initiative to resolve issues and see deliverables through, weighing long-term effects of technical decisions.
• Adapt to change, adopt new technologies, and improve processes, tools and products.
• Explain complex ideas clearly to both technical and non-technical people.

Requirements

• Master's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or a related field, plus 1 year of software engineering or related experience; OR Bachelor's degree or equivalent in those fields, plus 3 years of software engineering or related experience.
• Experience managing and querying data in Cosmos DB.
• Designing data storage with Azure services such as Azure SQL Database and Azure Cosmos DB.
• Administering Oracle databases with DBeaver, DB2 and TOAD for performance, security and availability, including SQL/PLSQL work and features such as Data Guard and Exadata.
• Monitoring applications with Splunk and Grafana.
• Building service requests that let end users get audit details or data and prepare reports.
• Mapping customer requirements, creating test cases, and handling support, problem and change management releases.
• Writing Kubernetes manifests and Helm charts to deploy microservices into k8s clusters.
• Hosting applications on Azure VMs and in Docker containers orchestrated by Kubernetes.
• Linux shell scripting for automation, task automation and system administration.
• Batch processing with Spring Batch, loading data into application tables using a TDD process.
• Building Swagger API documentation and auto-generated REST API docs.
• Providing L2/L3 customer support to remote clients through ITSM e-ticketing and ServiceNow, meeting SLAs.
• Experience of any length with these skills is accepted.

Conditions

Pay of $90,000.00 to $180,000.00 per year, plus annual or quarterly performance incentives.
