Quality Engineer - Supply Chain

Description

The company's Supply Chain team moves product through its distribution centers to stores and customers, where speed and accuracy matter.

Operations are complex and high volume, so quality and consistency affect both service and cost.

In this role you will use WPS methods to find losses, turn data and root causes into standard work, and make improvements that last. You will work with distribution center leaders to cut variation, reinforce One Best Way execution and improve KPIs.

Responsibilities

• Remove quality losses using WPS tools such as 5S, RCA, Six Sigma and time/motion studies.
• Build quality loss profiles, KPI reports and gap analyses that guide improvement work.
• Run the highest-impact quality loss projects and identify where the fixes can be copied to other sites.
• Write and refine standard work to reduce process variation and prevent deviations.
• Support DC leaders with WPS programs, team engagement and KPI gains.

Requirements

• Hold an engineering bachelor's degree, have prior quality or process improvement experience, or have 2 years of relevant work experience.
• Know Microsoft Office Suite and have strong analytical skills.
• Have hands-on experience applying RCA, 5S, Six Sigma and time/motion methods in operations.
• Analyze KPIs, build loss profiles and turn findings into actions and standard work.
• Have led cross-functional improvement projects from problem definition through sustainment.
• Understand WPS-style operating rhythms and playbook and standard work governance.
• Coach leaders and associates on continuous improvement expectations and routines.
• Preferred: a co-op or internship in manufacturing, supply chain or distribution, with some use of basic Lean and continuous improvement tools.
• Preferred: applied knowledge of quality management system elements such as statistical process control, FMEA, quality KPIs and similar tools.

Conditions

Annual base salary ranges from $80,000 to $120,000.

Additional pay may include annual or quarterly performance bonuses, and for some roles a Regional Pay Zone adjustment based on location and stock.
