Description

The company treats live events as experiences that bring people together, and uses technology and a fan-first approach to update ticketing.

It aims to shake up a ticketing industry worth $300 billion while building a major consumer brand that serves performers, venues and fans.

The team is hiring Software Engineers at several experience levels for its R&D group.

Responsibilities

  • Operate a containerized, service-oriented system built with strong modern engineering practices.
  • Deploy code to production multiple times each day.
  • Tackle hard performance issues, design a multi-sided marketplace, support data-driven decisions and scale the software as the business grows.
  • Create fast, attractive and inclusive interfaces that users enjoy and that strengthen the brand.
  • Assess new technologies and upgrade the stack so the company stays ahead technically.
  • Use advanced AI tools to turn ideas into working software quickly, while meeting the technical and product bar. There are no token limits.
  • Collaborate across teams and disciplines to build the strongest product in the field.

Requirements

  • You have built business-critical software in a fast-moving setting and can explain what you built and how it worked.
  • You have solved complex technical problems. The company builds custom solutions for ticketing challenges such as high-traffic onsales, interactive venue maps, inventory tracking and event matching, so examples from your work are welcome.
  • You care deeply about craft and product, hold firm views on how software should behave, and set a high bar for yourself and your code.
  • You think beyond the code about user experience, business impact and what makes a product succeed.
  • You are committed to your colleagues, enjoy working with people from varied backgrounds, and take pride in both mentoring others and learning from them.
  • Experience with the stack is not required. The team uses Python (FastAPI), Go, C (.NET Core), React and TypeScript, Swift and Kotlin; AWS, Kubernetes, ArgoCD, Datadog and Gitlab; Aurora (Postgres), ElastiCache (Memcached), OpenSearch and DynamoDB; and Kafka, Flink, Airflow and Temporal. Your experience, skills and approach to problem solving matter most, since tools can be learned.

Conditions

The salary range is $144,000 to $209,000 USD. Actual pay within that range depends on factors including skill set, years and depth of experience, certifications and specific location.

Work is flexible: you can be in the office as many days a week as you like, or work 100% remotely.

The company is an equal opportunity employer and welcomes people of all backgrounds.

Benefits

  • Equity stake, as the role is equity eligible.
  • A discretionary annual bonus based on individual and company performance.
  • Unlimited paid time off.
  • Up to 16 weeks of fully paid family leave.
  • A home office stipend.
  • 401(k) matching.
  • Student loan matching program.
  • Medical, vision, dental and life insurance.
  • Up to $25k toward family building, reproductive health services and gender-affirming care.
  • $500 per year for wellness expenses.
  • Subscriptions to Headspace for meditation, Headspace Care for therapy, and One Medical.
  • $360 per quarter to spend on tickets to live events.
  • An annual subscription to Spotify, Apple Music or Amazon Music.
