Senior Software Engineer, DevOps - Moveworks

Description

The company is building its AI cloud infrastructure and developer platform, and this role helps build and scale it.

You will work closely with platform, machine learning, search, data and frontend teams to learn their DevOps and infrastructure needs, shape the DevOps roadmap, and both lead and carry out projects.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and manage the company's cloud infrastructure across several regions and cloud providers, with attention to security, scalability, performance, observability, resilience and cost.
• Build and run CI/CD pipelines using infrastructure as code, with full automation to provision and manage the application stack in each environment.
• Work with the company's security team to strengthen the security of the infrastructure.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience.
• You stay hands-on and take strong ownership, leading complex platform and infrastructure work from idea through delivery and measurement.
• Deep experience designing and building AWS (or other) cloud infrastructure, including managing security groups, IAM roles, Elastic Load Balancers, CloudFormation and other cloud services.
• Solid understanding of VPN, AWS VPC and DNS, and experience troubleshooting network issues.
• Experience deploying and managing Kubernetes clusters, Istio or similar.
• Working knowledge of disaster recovery and security areas such as backup and recovery, replication, AWS KMS, certificate management, encryption, penetration testing, vulnerability scanning and security tools.
• Comfortable with tools such as Jenkins, Terraform, Ansible and Helm.
• You are willing to work at startup pace on hard problems with a high degree of ownership.

Conditions

Base pay for positions in this location is $143,200 - $243,000, plus equity when applicable, variable or incentive compensation, and benefits.

Base pay is a guideline; total compensation varies with qualifications, skill level, competencies and work location.

Compensation depends on the geographic location of the role and may change with work location.

Sales positions generally offer an On Target Earnings (OTE) incentive structure.

Work persona (flexible, remote, or required in office) is assigned based on the nature of the work and the assigned work location.

To determine eligibility for a work persona, the company may measure the distance between your primary residence and the closest company office using a third-party service.
