Description

The company is working toward its goals and helps customers and businesses make sound financial decisions while supporting the communities it serves. You will find a range of roles here to explore your strengths from day one.

The company is hiring a Senior Product Manager to set the strategy, priorities, enhancements and ongoing management of internally built systems for the Commercial Real Estate (CRE) business line. This is a senior product and people leadership role. You will manage a team of individual contributors and work closely with business stakeholders and technology teams to ship improvements that support business goals, workflow efficiency, and data and analytics needs.

You will be the primary product owner for two internal platforms: LPX, a workflow system for the Commercial Mortgage business and its multifamily lending, and the CRE Data Repository, which pulls together data from systems of record and supporting systems for business analytics. For both, you set business priorities, roadmaps, requirements and acceptance criteria, and work with technology leaders on design, delivery planning, release readiness and ongoing support.

The role suits an experienced product or project leader who works where business, technology, data and process improvement meet. You need enough systems and technical understanding to work with engineering teams, follow technical dependencies, set priorities, coordinate testing and deliver changes, along with strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Own product direction and leadership for internal CRE applications, including LPX and the CRE Data Repository.
  • Set and keep refining product vision, strategy, priorities and roadmaps around business needs and company objectives.
  • Collect and assess enhancement requests from business stakeholders, then rank them by business value, dependencies, risk, available resources and strategic fit.
  • Turn business needs and product strategy into prioritized features, epics, requirements and concrete work items.
  • Manage product backlogs and priorities in an Agile environment with roughly two-week sprints.
  • Work closely with technology and engineering teams that design and build technical changes.
  • Act as the link between business users and technology teams, making sure requirements and priorities stay clear through the full development lifecycle.
  • Understand system architecture, integrations, data dependencies, technical capabilities and modernization needs well enough to spot risks and make informed product decisions.
  • Coordinate business and user acceptance testing as changes move through development and test environments.
  • Lead implementation and change management so people adopt new functionality and enhancements.
  • Analyze business and product data to guide prioritization, decisions, performance measurement and continuous improvement.
  • Define product outcomes and suitable objectives, key results and performance measures.
  • Find ways to improve workflows, processes, technology and data use across CRE.
  • Own the full lifecycle of assigned products and systems, covering enhancements, technical dependencies, risks and modernization.
  • Build strong working relationships across CRE, technology, data and analytics, risk and other supporting functions.
  • Lead, develop and support a team of three individual contributors (business analysts and product managers), setting clear priorities and accountability for product work.
  • Balance product leadership with hands-on oversight of prioritization, delivery, testing, implementation and ongoing support.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of product management experience.
  • Three or more years of people management, or clear progressive leadership experience.
  • Proven ownership of a product roadmap and backlog.
  • Experience working with engineers to deliver system enhancements across the development lifecycle.
  • Experience setting priorities and balancing competing business requirements through build and rollout.
  • Experience working within Agile development.
  • Experience managing or improving internally built applications, platforms or workflow systems.
  • Experience building and managing roadmaps, backlogs, features, epics and enhancement priorities.
  • Experience coordinating user acceptance testing (UAT), implementation and change management.
  • Experience using objectives, key results, KPIs, business metrics or other measures to judge product outcomes and guide priorities.
  • Experience with data and analytics platforms or initiatives.
  • Experience identifying ways to improve business workflows through technology and process changes.
  • General knowledge of databases, data repositories, system integrations, software architecture and technical dependencies.
  • Ability to grasp technical concepts and speak with engineering teams without hands-on coding skills.
  • Strong communication across technical and nontechnical audiences, turning business needs into actionable technology priorities.
  • Working knowledge of Jira.
  • Strong cross-functional leadership, stakeholder management, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Commercial Real Estate, commercial banking, financial services or lending experience is preferred but not required.
