Description

The company is a consumer intelligence business that helps clients understand buying behavior and find new growth. It combines a holistic retail view with consumer insight, using advanced analytics and modern platforms. It combined with GfK in 2023, operates in 100+ markets, and covers more than 90% of the world's population. The company is an Advent International portfolio company.

You will lead the product line built on retail store and business establishment reference data, which forms the base of the store intelligence portfolio. You will turn customer and business needs into a clear roadmap and prioritized requirements, contribute to the wider store intelligence strategy, and deliver trusted, scalable data showing where retail activity takes place.

You will work closely with engineering, data science, operations, commercial and market teams. The role calls for strong product judgment, influence across teams, and practical knowledge of reference data, data quality, analytics, technology frameworks and modern product development practices.

Responsibilities

  • Set the vision and strategy for the product line, in line with the store intelligence vision set by the Product Director, company goals, customer needs, market trends and the wider retail intelligence portfolio.
  • Make sure the product gives manufacturers, retailers, distributors, commercial real estate users, financial services clients, digital platforms, agentic commerce providers and other customers who rely on accurate retail location data a clear, differentiated benefit, and that it works as a dependable base for store intelligence analytics products.
  • Write and share the roadmap, aligned with the wider store intelligence roadmap and balancing market expansion, data coverage, quality, platform modernization, client commitments and commercial growth.
  • Lead cross-functional squads through influence, working with data scientists, engineers, designers, operations and commercial teams to build collaboration, innovation and accountability.
  • Coach colleagues and delivery partners, give subject-matter guidance, and help improve product management practice.
  • Study retail, location intelligence and competitive data markets to identify client needs, portfolio gaps, growth openings and new use cases.
  • Talk with customers, market teams, sales and delivery stakeholders to learn how the data is used, collect feedback, and turn it into product changes and new offerings.
  • Own the full lifecycle of your assigned products and capabilities, from discovery and business case through data sourcing, requirements, delivery, launch, adoption and ongoing optimization.
  • Maintain and rank the backlog. Set clear requirements and acceptance criteria for coverage, taxonomy, attributes, quality, refresh cycles and delivery, and work with engineering and operations to deliver dependable capabilities on time.
  • Apply AI, automation, data and analytics to improve retail entity discovery, classification, matching, enrichment, quality monitoring and product decisions.
  • Define and track KPIs such as market and channel coverage, completeness, accuracy, freshness, delivery reliability, adoption, revenue and customer satisfaction.
  • Explain priorities, trade-offs, plans, risks and results clearly to internal stakeholders, senior leadership and external partners.
  • Work with sales, marketing, market teams and client delivery to shape packaging and positioning, support go-to-market plans, and make launches and adoption succeed.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of product management experience, including ownership of complex data, analytics, reference data or platform products.
  • Hands-on experience with retail location, store reference or business establishment data, covering sourcing, taxonomies, hierarchies, metadata, harmonization, quality, refresh processes and client delivery use cases.
  • A track record of leading through influence, aligning diverse stakeholders, managing trade-offs and guiding cross-functional teams in a changing environment.
  • Solid grasp of data products, APIs, analytics, entity resolution, geospatial data, AI and data science (including Gen AI for entity discovery and enrichment), software development processes, and relevant company platforms and operational workflows.
  • Strategic thinking: you can analyze market trends and turn them into practical product plans.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex ideas to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • A commitment to understanding stated and unstated customer needs and delivering solutions that go beyond expectations.
