The Customer Experience team at the company is hiring a Senior Product Designer to create digital brand experiences that are intuitive, impactful and accessible.
You will shape how users behave and strengthen the link between brands and their customers by guiding the delivery of polished, engaging digital products and services. Day to day you work with project managers, user researchers, other designers, content strategists and developers to take end-to-end experiences from idea to launch.
Most of the work is hands-on and client-facing, but you may also mentor junior staff. Leadership is part of the role: helping grow client relationships and accounts, developing future design leaders and expanding the practice.
The company is a national technology and management consulting firm. Its Government group designs, builds and modernizes systems that agencies rely on to serve residents, including benefits and claims platforms, case management, data and analytics, and the digital services citizens and employers use. Consultants are employees, not subcontractors, and sales and delivery staff work side by side on every program.
Responsibilities
Lead the creation of personas, customer journey maps, wireframes, responsive visual designs and interactive prototypes that follow interaction design and usability best practices.
Manage the project team, coaching junior designers, building their skills and raising the quality of client deliverables.
Present design concepts and their rationale to clients and internal teams, clearly and persuasively.
Build clean, concise presentations that explain why the designs work.
Give specific, constructive feedback on interactions, information architecture, content, layout, and how well the experience fits the goals and brand.
Run competitive assessments, propose new alternatives, and track design and technology trends.
Help shape CX methods, capabilities, approaches and tools. Attend and lead CX meetings and training, and keep growing through professional development and industry involvement.
Apply UI best practices across web, OS-native and embedded apps, and make the case for accessible, visually sound design with clients and colleagues.
Explore AI-powered design tools and workflows, keep up with new technology, and test new approaches that improve creativity, efficiency and impact.
