Senior iOS Developer, AdTech (m/f/d)

Description

You will join a cross-functional product team at the company, Europe's leading online pharmacy, and help build the next generation of Retail Media experiences in its mobile app.

The role covers sponsored products, personalised recommendations, native advertising and campaign-driven customer journeys, while keeping the shopping experience among the best available.

You will have high visibility and a direct influence on how the iOS ecosystem grows as the company scales.

You will work with Product Managers, Designers, Backend Engineers, Data Scientists and Retail Media stakeholders to deliver fast, scalable, customer-focused mobile features used by millions of customers across Europe.

Tech stack: Swift, SwiftUI, MVVM, Swift Testing, Xcode Cloud, Swift packages, SPM, Async/Await, Dependency Injection and the latest iOS SDK.

Responsibilities

• Lead modularisation and keep evolving a scalable iOS architecture.
• Define, build and refine technical standards and architectural guidelines.
• Review and steer key architectural decisions across several teams.
• Build reusable mobile components for Retail Media, such as Sponsored Products, Sponsored Brands, product recommendations and banners.
• Add feature flags, experimentation and A/B testing to validate new customer experiences.
• Make CI/CD more reliable, speed up builds and improve release processes.
• Strengthen the testing strategy and set up solid quality practices across teams.
• Improve app stability, performance and overall technical health.
• Pay down technical debt where it makes sense, while using platform work to unblock product teams.

Requirements

• You have strong Swift skills and experience with large production apps.
• You understand modular architecture and how to structure apps that scale.
• You have hands-on experience with Clean Architecture, MVVM or similar patterns.
• You understand modern concurrency and memory management on iOS.
• You have solid experience writing unit tests and raising test coverage.
• You have worked with CI/CD pipelines and know how release processes run.
• You debug well, optimise performance and collaborate effectively across teams.
• You have worked in Retail Media, AdTech, MarTech or large-scale e-commerce platforms.
• Additional: experience building cross-platform apps with KMP and experience with Android.

Conditions

If your role does not require you to be in the office, you can choose where you work from, including up to 20 days a year anywhere in the EU.

The team is based in Germany and works on a hybrid basis as the role allows.
