Description

The company is building an AI-native platform that trains, supports, and equips family caregivers to deliver care at home, working with health plans, providers, and community groups.

Families make up a large caregiving workforce that is currently under-equipped, and the company aims to make family-led care a standard part of healthcare.

The role is a senior position in a 0-to-1 setting where you own engineering end to end and help set the product direction as an early engineer.

You will report to the Director of Product Engineering and work in a close, cross-functional team on hard problems in tech-enabled healthcare delivery.

The position is full-time and hybrid, based in San Francisco.

The team values curiosity, experimentation, and a direct focus on real impact for the people using the product.

Responsibilities

  • Own features from concept through delivery, including scoping from requirements, mobile and full-stack development, user testing, and managing releases.
  • Work with operations, clinical, compliance, product, and other teams to build solutions that hold up in practice, and explain technical plans to them.
  • Go deep on technical areas such as product development, cloud infrastructure, machine learning, and data security, and build new systems using current AI tools.
  • Help lead technical quality across the team and meet health care industry standards.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of professional software development experience, including building, scaling, and maintaining complex applications in production.
  • Strong hands-on React Native skills.
  • Ability to lead the architecture for rebuilding the mobile experience from the ground up as an AI-native product.
  • A product mindset with close attention to the end user's experience, building intuitive tools for caregivers and patients.
  • Solid engineering fundamentals and architectural thinking for hard problems. A Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related field is preferred.
  • Strongly preferred: experience using AI coding tools such as Cursor, Copilot, or Claude to speed up your work, and interest in building an AI-native development culture from the start.
  • Strongly preferred: familiarity with backend development, especially Python, or modern web frameworks, to connect AI services to the mobile client.
  • Strongly preferred: knowledge of the Android environment and native Android development.
  • Strongly preferred: comfort in a fast-moving startup with high ownership, helping shape how the engineering team works.
  • Strongly preferred: experience in healthtech, or a strong personal drive to build software that improves health and home care.

Conditions

Full-time, hybrid role based in San Francisco.

Reports to the Director of Product Engineering.

Benefits

  • Competitive pay that reflects your contribution, with rewards tied to the impact of your work.
  • Medical, dental, and vision plans, including a $0 deductible PPO and a company-funded HSA, plus employer-paid life and disability insurance.
  • Generous paid time off and 10 paid company holidays.
  • HSA contributions, optional FSA and commuter benefits, and full coverage of 401(k) account fees. No employer match is currently offered.
  • Paid parental leave.
