Staff App Engineer - Discovery & Consideration (all genders)

Description

You will build and maintain the company's iOS and Android app in Flutter.

Responsibilities

• Help shape architecture decisions and set coding standards for the team.
• Work across the stack with Product Managers, Designers, Testers, and the Backend and Web teams.
• Introduce new technologies, tools, and processes that raise developer productivity and product quality.
• Find and fix performance and reliability problems across the stack.

Requirements

• You have 4+ years of programming experience, including at least 1 year of app development.
• You have expert knowledge of Dart and Flutter.
• You have experience with CI/CD tools such as fastlane or GitHub Actions, and with unit and golden tests.
• You understand performance optimization and profiling well.
• You take strong ownership, drive yourself, and lead by example.
• You communicate well, solve problems effectively, and work well in a team.
• You have native mobile experience on iOS and/or Android, or experience with mobile automated testing.
• You have worked with gRPC, Firebase, and monitoring tools such as Sentry or DataDog.
• You know Figma and have contributed to open-source projects.
• A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a similar technical field is a plus, but skills matter more to the company.
