Senior Fullstack Engineer - DevOps & Infrastructure (all genders)

Description

The role sits in the company's new Studios business, an AI-powered B2B product that helps fashion and lifestyle brands produce and scale high-quality content more efficiently.

The product grew out of the company's own AI-driven content production and is now being built into a scalable offering for brands and retailers worldwide.

You would join at an early stage and help shape the product, the technology and how the team works as the business grows.

Responsibilities

• Own features end to end, from first idea to production, including quality, tests, performance and reliability, with no handoffs.
• Build core product features and help shape the cloud setup on AWS and GCP, along with deployment tooling and CI/CD environments.
• Grow the generation and media processing pipelines as the platform scales, weighing throughput, memory use and cost per processed asset.
• Design long-running asynchronous workflows that stay resilient, using queues, retries, idempotency and rate limits.
• Build monitoring, logging and tracing so you can find performance bottlenecks and fix problems quickly.
• Use AI tools and agents across the whole development cycle, from exploring and building solutions to testing, debugging and refining code.

Requirements

• A proven track record of shipping web products end to end.
• Deep hands-on experience building, scaling and maintaining Ruby on Rails applications across both frontend and backend.
• A strong background in asynchronous systems (queues, retries, rate limits, webhooks) and in high-throughput data or media processing (memory efficiency, large files).
• Experience owning what you build in production, including the cloud environment, deployment, monitoring, incident response and practical Infrastructure as Code.
• A real interest in AI-assisted and agentic software development, and a willingness to keep trying new tools and ways of working.
• Solid security habits: least privilege, secrets handling and dependency hygiene, with a focus on keeping operational load low for a small team.
• Experience with generative AI orchestration, cloud cost engineering, or image and media-heavy applications.
• Hands-on experience with AI coding tools, coding agents or agentic engineering workflows.
• Experience running platform migrations or sharing public work samples.
