This is a hands-on senior engineering role focused on the next generation of AI products.
The company is at a stage where it builds and ships internal product features, and the team works across product, engineering, and security.
Responsibilities
Spend roughly 80% of your time designing, building, and releasing full-stack features and backend services for AI products, using current AI, cloud, and developer tools.
Spend the remaining 20% or so on platform work, keeping the cloud environments, data pipelines, and deployment tooling behind AI products reliable and secure.
Own features from technical design through release and later iteration, working closely with product and engineering.
Help shape the CI/CD, infrastructure, and security practices that keep AI platforms running well.
Build and maintain Python and Node.js backend services and React frontends with dependable APIs and clear user experiences.
Turn business requirements into technical solutions and lead them through design, build, testing, deployment, and iteration.
Connect products to social media platforms, enterprise systems, external APIs, and Model Context Protocol (MCP) servers, handling authentication, data sync, and failures.
Make architecture decisions on application structure, data models, performance, and scale, balancing delivery needs with long-term maintainability.
Write clean, well-tested code, lead constructive code reviews, mentor developers, and improve engineering practices.
Use AI agents and tooling to make the engineering environment more productive and quicker to work in.
Build security, monitoring, and observability into applications, and troubleshoot issues to improve reliability and performance.
Work with product, design, and engineering to clarify requirements, flag risks, and deliver practical solutions.
Maintain efficient cloud infrastructure and development environments.
Build and maintain data pipelines for AI products.
Improve platform reliability, monitoring, logging, and performance.
Ensure data quality, governance, and secure data handling.
Set up secure deployment practices, CI/CD, and automated quality gates.
Manage dependencies, fix vulnerabilities, and support security testing.
Make sure products follow secure coding standards and compliance requirements.
Success means features shipped on schedule, reliable data pipelines, highly available and scalable cloud infrastructure, vulnerabilities caught and fixed early, strong collaboration across teams, and well-documented systems that are easy to maintain and scale.
