Description

The company is building a new trading card game studio in Seattle, part of the company group. The studio is led by industry veterans and aims to build lasting franchises across tabletop, digital, community, and culture.

The team wants skilled, enthusiastic designers from games and beyond to help make the best trading card games in the world.

This role focuses on the visual design of the studio's trading card game franchises, from brand system components to the card frames players hold. You will work with the Principal Graphic Designers, Art Directors, and Creative Director to carry out and grow the visual identity of the games, and help shape the studio's design standard.

Responsibilities

  • Design and refine card frames, typography, icons, and layouts within existing frame systems so each franchise stays distinct and easy to recognize
  • Help build brand identity systems for new franchises, covering color, type, logo use, and brand standards documentation, under the Principal Graphic Designer
  • Create and maintain card layout templates, icon sets, and other production-ready assets for the trading card line
  • Design packaging and marketing materials that carry the brand beyond the card
  • Work with creative and production teams to turn designs into print-ready files, and review production files against design standards
  • Keep design files and assets organized in shared team libraries

Requirements

  • 4-6 years of professional graphic design experience, ideally in games, entertainment, or consumer products
  • A portfolio that shows strong typography, hierarchy, composition, and color, with polished execution and clear reasoning behind the design choices
  • Experience designing for tight, information-heavy formats such as card games, packaging, or editorial
  • Packaging design or template-based production design experience is a plus
  • Background in, or real interest in, trading cards, tabletop games, or collectibles is a plus

Conditions

You will work onsite at the Seattle office five days per week.

The salary range is for base pay only and excludes short-term and long-term incentive pay. It applies to Seattle and may differ elsewhere. Final base pay depends on location, experience, qualifications, and training.

Seattle salary range: $71,300 - $87,400 USD

Fanatics equal opportunity statement applies.
