Senior Art Director (Maternity Cover)

Description

You will cover a nine-month maternity leave for this art director and concept designer role on the in-house creative team, helping shape the company's brand across markets and channels.

You will report directly to the Head of Design & Production. Your job is to turn marketing briefs and strategy into original creative concepts and polished design, then guide each piece from first idea to final output with designers, video editors, copywriters and marketing staff at headquarters and in local offices.

Responsibilities

• Build creative concepts and visual directions for brand campaigns, product marketing and client communications
• Turn briefs into clear ideas, mood boards, storyboards and design proposals that serve brand and business goals
• Create and adapt high-quality designs for digital, social, print and out-of-home formats
• Direct the art for photo and video shoots, working with colleagues and external production partners
• Help define and develop the company's Corporate Visual Identity with the Head of Design & Production, turning it into design principles and consistent brand use across markets and channels
• Present creative work, act on feedback, and work with marketing and compliance teams through approval
• Manage several briefs and deadlines, owning work from concept to production-ready artwork

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in art direction and concept design, ideally at a creative agency or in an in-house team
• A strong portfolio showing original ideas, visual storytelling and high-quality design across channels
• Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign within Creative Cloud
• Figma experience is an advantage
• Solid grasp of typography, composition, branding and the production needs of digital and print
• Ability to work independently, collaborate across disciplines and balance creative ambition with practical delivery
• Excellent written and spoken communication and presentation skills in English
• Experience in financial services or other regulated industries is an advantage
