The company sells a cloud data platform used by more than 67,000 customers, including about 75% of the Fortune 100 and many AI-native startups.
You will lead the brand design team behind the company's visual identity and answer to the Director of Brand Marketing. You set the creative vision, brand systems and quality standards that turn strategy into consistent, high-impact work across campaigns, events and digital, and you manage the designers who produce it.
This role suits a creative leader who still works hands-on and wants to shape how a brand design team operates: how concepts are developed, how the brand is maintained and supported across the company, and how AI speeds up design systems and creative output. The company wants more distinctive, recognizable brand work and a faster, more scalable creative process, not business as usual.
Responsibilities
Lead, develop and coach the Brand Creative designers at every level, with clear, direct feedback and a bar for quality that holds across all programs.
Set priorities, define roles and performance standards, and build a team that experiments and works together.
Own concepts for major brand campaigns and initiatives, and turn brand strategy into visual systems that scale across print, digital, motion and environmental work.
Make complex technical products clear and compelling for developers and enterprise leaders, working with Product Marketing to turn positioning into memorable work.
Maintain and evolve typography, iconography, logo, color and layout frameworks, and keep the brand library, templates, icons and guidelines accurate.
Find where AI tools can improve speed, quality and creative range. Encourage the team to use them in daily work within the company's guardrails, and share what works across the organization.
Direct creative for large brand moments such as.local, AWS re:Invent and SKO, from first concept through delivery, alongside Strategic Events.
Extend campaigns and events into platform-native content with Social and Influencer Marketing, and give creators and partners clear creative guidance.
Work on concepts and key deliverables yourself when needed, setting the standard for the team's taste and quality.
Create templates, documentation and guidance so teams across the company and external partners can use the brand correctly, including non-marketing programs.
Keep brand touchpoints consistent with Events, Social, Web, Customer Marketing, Product, Employee Experience and Corporate Communications. Manage agencies, contractors and specialists such as animators and illustrators.
Balance competing requests, manage timelines and budgets, and raise resourcing risks early.
Present concepts and reasoning to senior stakeholders, and explain design decisions and constraints to both creative and non-creative audiences.
Requirements
A BFA or an MA or MS in design, art and design, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
8+ years of design experience, with 2+ years managing and developing designers.

Experience building and running brand and design systems, ideally for B2B, technology or SaaS brands.
Experience leading environmental and event design for large-scale brand moments.
Advanced skill in Adobe and Figma, including libraries and scalable brand documentation.
Hands-on use of AI and generative tools in creative work, and experience getting a team to adopt them.
Experience managing agencies, contractors and cross-functional creative projects on schedule and within budget.
A proven record of aligning stakeholders across functions and seniority levels.
Strong written and verbal communication, including presenting creative rationale to non-creative audiences.
Preferred: experience building or evolving a brand identity or design system at scale.
