Senior Engineer - bridges and structures

Description

The company is hiring a Senior Engineer for its Bridges and Structures team in Milan. The role is hybrid, split between the office and remote work.

The team covers the full range of bridge and structural work: feasibility studies, concept development, detailed design, structural assessments, inspections, construction support and project management, across many kinds of bridge and structure schemes.

You would work on recently awarded projects at national, European and international level, alongside the company's global network of bridge and structural engineering specialists.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to complex, high-impact infrastructure projects across the team's full scope of work.
• Use the knowledge and support of the company's worldwide bridge and structural engineering team.

Requirements

• Minimum requirements:
• At least 5 years of experience in structural and bridge engineering.
• Proven experience in bridge and structural engineering, applying Eurocodes and National Highways and Railway Standards.
• Experience in structural analysis and design using MIDAS Civil, IDEA StatiCa and Ponti EC4.
• Fluent in Italian and English.
• Strong technical, written and verbal communication skills in Italian and English.
• Ability to write design reports, technical documentation and client presentations in English to a high professional standard.
• Familiarity with BIM methodologies, workflows and multidisciplinary delivery.
• Preferred (optional):
• Knowledge of Australian AS5100, AASHTO LRFD and ACI design codes would be an advantage.
• Familiarity with SOFiSTiK software is a plus.
• Master's degree (MEng) or higher in Structural Engineering or a related discipline.
• Chartered or Incorporated Engineer status in Italy or with the Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE), or completion of the Initial Professional Development (IPD) requirements with the intention of undertaking the Professional Review within the next six months.

Conditions

Hybrid role combining office and remote working. The office is in central Milan.

Pay is placed within the salary range based on objective, neutral criteria: required skills, relevant experience, expected autonomy and responsibility, and fit with the role.
