Software Engineer 3

Description

The company builds secure, high-quality software for the pharmaceutical Trial Master File (TMF) industry, and this role is part of a new engineering team being set up in Poland.

You will work on specialist pharma software and help the team set its engineering standards and ways of working from the start.

You will also promote responsible use of AI-assisted tools such as GitHub Copilot and Claude in a regulated setting.

The role is linked to affiliated company Phlexglobal, Inc.

Responsibilities

• Fix most bugs and issues in codebases you know and in ones you are new to.
• Design and build small features on your own, and contribute to larger solutions under an architect's guidance.
• Track down hard problems such as race conditions, cross-threading, and intermittent data faults.
• Own the quality, upkeep, performance, and scalability of the code you write.
• Set good practice for AI-augmented development and shape how the team uses AI engineering tools.
• Work with business stakeholders to design solutions that create value in the pharma TMF space.
• Take a security-first approach and write secure, maintainable software.
• Support third-line investigations and work closely with the Lead Software Engineer to grow the Poland team.

Requirements

• 5+ years of software development experience.
• Strong experience with Microsoft.NET / C and Visual Studio.
• Experience with databases such as SQL Server, Azure SQL, or MySQL.
• Strong grasp of SOLID principles, dependency injection, unit testing, and REST web services.
• Experience with React, Angular, or other modern UI frameworks.
• Some exposure to Azure or other cloud PaaS services, containerisation, and distributed scalable systems.
• Experience assessing and adopting AI-assisted development tools in a security-conscious, regulated environment.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills, and the ability to work with both technical and non-technical people.
• Preferred, but not essential: knowledge of GCP and/or TMF.

Conditions

Full-time, remote role based in Poland.

Working from the Lublin office is optional, not required.
