Description

The company treats product management as a discipline built on reimagining how things work, spotting chances to create value, and shaping customer experiences through technology. It is building toward scale and capability as digital change reshapes its industry.

Product decisions here start with understanding customers. The company was an early user of predictive modeling to tailor credit card offers to individuals.

Within the Small Business Bank, the customers are business owners, who make up 99% of US businesses and account for 44% of US GDP. The organization focuses on hearing from the millions of business customers it serves each day, so products, services, and experiences meet their needs.

The Senior Associate, Product Manager sits on the Associate Servicing team, where the work is about giving servicing associates the tools and resources they need to help customers. The role is highly collaborative and strategic, working with technology, operations, and business partners. It includes significant investment in AI tools that make associates' work simpler so they can focus on the customer in front of them.

The role is assessed against five areas that form the basis of product management at the company: Human Centered (understanding internal and external customer needs to reimagine and innovate solutions), Business Focused (delivering strong outcomes through leverage and sound execution), Technology Driven (using technology to build innovative, resilient solutions that create value now and later), Integrated Problem Solving (finding and resolving complex problems while managing product risk), and Transformational Leadership (leading cross-functional teams to solve customer problems and align the organization).

  • Apply strategic thinking to Associate Servicing product decisions.
