Description

The company builds 911 infrastructure and adds an AI intelligence layer to help public safety agencies move faster, decide better and get better outcomes. It combines Prepared and Carbyne under one roof and works with agencies in 1000 cities.

The team is working on modern emergency response tools for 911 telecommunicators, dispatchers and field responders, who have long been limited by outdated technology.

The goal is what the team calls the Perfect Response, the set of steps that gets help to people without avoidable loss of life.

Responsibilities

  • Walk through each stage of emergency response to find gaps that lead to needless loss of life or avoidable errors.
  • Propose a fix for each gap, either as a product or as a new workflow that stops the error from happening.
  • Own large cross-functional initiatives for your area, identify the main constraint and prioritize work around it.
  • Plan and ship complex features that serve several user groups, including field responders, 911 calltakers and dispatchers.
  • Set product roadmaps that match company strategy, balance competing priorities and win stakeholder support.
  • Research users in depth by riding along in field responder vehicles and sitting alongside staff in 911 centers, and turn what you learn into decisions.
  • Build lasting relationships with emergency responders and bring their real-world needs into each decision.
  • Align stakeholders on the product vision, resolve conflicting priorities and secure commitment to large projects.
  • Mentor other product managers by sharing guidance and lessons learned.
  • Clear project blockers quickly, weigh speed against strategic impact and meet high-stakes deadlines.

Requirements

  • Have 3+ years of product management experience delivering large cross-functional projects in B2B or B2G SaaS, either building 0-to-1 products or scaling technical products from 1 to 100.
  • Bring a creative approach and look for 10x solutions by reframing problems.
  • Work well with engineers and turn product vision and goals into clear technical requirements.
  • Combine market research, user feedback and data into strategies that make products market leaders.
  • Build alignment across engineering, design, sales and marketing so everyone works toward one goal.
  • Adapt quickly in changing environments and iterate based on market and user feedback.
  • Be self-driven and empathetic, act without waiting to be asked, inspire teams and keep customer needs central.

This is a hybrid role with four days per week in the Manhattan office.

Base pay is between $150,938 and $201,250 USD. Actual pay depends on level, function, training, transferable skills, work experience, business needs, geographic market, or a mix of these.
