Description

The company 911 combines Prepared and Carbyne under the company to build a platform that pairs modern 911 infrastructure with an AI intelligence layer for public safety agencies.

The goal is to help agencies act faster, decide better and get better results when it counts most. The 911 field has been held back by outdated technology, and this team is working to change that.

The company works with 1000 cities through an ecosystem of devices and cloud software.

This senior role targets what the team calls 'The Perfect Response': map each step of emergency response today, find gaps that cause avoidable loss of life or unforced errors, then design either a product fix or a workflow that stops the problem from happening.

Responsibilities

  • Own large cross-functional initiatives that improve communication and data sharing for 911 calltakers, dispatchers and responders.
  • Identify the main constraint in your area, set priorities around it and push steady progress toward the Perfect Response.
  • Plan and ship complex features and products that affect several user groups, including field responders, calltakers and dispatchers, with clear goals and a shared product vision.
  • Build product roadmaps that match company strategy, weigh competing priorities and win stakeholder support.
  • Run customer research yourself: ride along in responder vehicles, sit alongside staff in 911 centers, build lasting relationships with responders and turn what you learn into decisions.
  • Align stakeholders by explaining the vision, resolving conflicting priorities and securing commitment to large projects.
  • Coach other product managers by sharing structured guidance and lessons learned.
  • Clear project blockers quickly and keep teams on track for high-stakes deadlines.

Requirements

  • 5+ years delivering large cross-functional projects in B2B or B2G SaaS, whether building new 0-to-1 products or scaling technical products from 1 to 100.
  • Creative problem solving: look for a 10x answer rather than an incremental one, and reframe problems to find it.
  • Enough technical understanding to turn product goals into technical requirements with engineers.
  • Ability to combine market research, user feedback and data into strategies that make products leaders in their market.
  • A track record of getting engineering, design, sales and marketing working toward one goal.
  • Comfort with fast-changing conditions and iterating on market and user input.
  • Self-driven and proactive about spotting opportunities without waiting to be asked, empathetic, and keeps customer needs central to every decision.

Conditions

Hybrid role: 4 days per week in the Manhattan office.

Base pay range: $162,150 - $216,200 USD.

Total compensation includes base pay, bonus and stock awards. Base pay depends on level, function, training, transferable skills, experience, business needs, geographic market, or a mix of these.

Some roles may also require legal eligibility to work in a firearms environment.

Employees must know and follow environmental, health and safety rules and report concerns as they arise.

The company is an equal opportunity employer and hires without regard to any characteristic protected by law, including citizenship status.

Benefits

  • Competitive salary and a 401k with employer match.
  • Discretionary time off.
  • Paid parental leave for everyone.
  • Medical, dental and vision plans.
  • Fitness programs.
  • Emotional and development programs.
  • Snacks in the offices.
