Security Analyst Internship

Description

The company is building new solutions on modern technology within its Technology Division, and the Information Security Cloud Engineering group is part of that work.

The team is changing how the company operates and delivers. Interns gain experience with consumer cloud technologies.

Project assignments may change. Typical work includes the areas listed below.

Responsibilities

• Create cloud migration security controls so new applications deployed to the cloud meet the company's security standards.
• Write scripts that automate the monitoring of cloud security.
• Build reporting tools that collect and analyze coding data to produce recommendations.
• Help create and document workflows for the technology identity and access management team.
• Ask clarifying questions to pin down needs, paying close attention to detail while gathering requirements.
• Review current usage reports and write data management scripts and structures that combine information to support reporting and decisions.

Requirements

• Be a current junior, senior, or Master's student pursuing a Bachelor's degree in information security, computer science, data analytics, MIS, or a related field.
• Have knowledge of software development technologies such as NodeJS, Angular,.NET, MongoDB, and SQL.
• Have a general understanding of programming and scripting, computer science, and management information systems.
• Bring strong analytical problem-solving skills, accuracy, a sharp eye for detail, and the drive to work independently.
• Be able to troubleshoot problems and devise creative technical solutions.
• Show proven computer skills in Microsoft Office products.
• Have strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Preferred: prior work experience in an office environment or as an intern.
• Preferred: knowledge of Microsoft Entra or Azure.

Conditions

The internship starts in May 2027.

The schedule is hybrid, based at the company's headquarters in Des Moines.
