Description

The company sells an agentic AI security operations platform to large, well-known customers, and this role is the technical partner to the Sales team in winning new business and growing existing accounts.

You will show prospects how the platform removes Tier 1 and Tier 2 work, speeds up detection and response, and connects their current security stack without replacing it.

You will also pass customer insights back to the product and leadership teams, which helps shape the platform's future.

Responsibilities

  • Work with Account Executives from first discovery through technical close, learning each prospect's SOC challenges, tech stack, and business goals.
  • Run technical discovery to find gaps in detection coverage, response time, analyst capacity, SIEM cost, attack surface visibility, and digital risk exposure.
  • Deliver demos and "Day in the Life" sessions across Core (Detection, Containment, Investigation, Response), DRP (Digital Risk Protection), Discover (CAASM), Transit (security data pipeline), and Agentic Teammates.
  • Show how agentic AI and automation remove Tier 1 and Tier 2 toil, lower MTTD and MTTR, and let a SOC scale without adding headcount in step.
  • Build technical business cases that measure risk reduction, cost savings from SIEM spend, tool consolidation, and headcount efficiency, and operational gains.
  • Write RFP, RFI, and security questionnaire responses that are accurate and fast.
  • Help size, scope, and price deals with Sales and Solutions Architecture.
  • Run Value Assessments that compare a customer's people, process, and technology against measurable SOC outcomes.
  • Win competitive deals against MDR, XDR, and SOAR vendors by explaining the platform's agentic AI automation, technology-agnostic integration, and breadth.
  • Act as a trusted technical adviser to security leaders, from SOC analysts to CISOs, before and after the sale.

Requirements

  • 5+ years in network security, information security, or security operations.
  • 2+ years in a customer-facing technical role such as Sales Engineering, Solutions Architecture, Consulting, or an equivalent.
  • Hands-on experience with the modern security stack: SIEM, EDR/XDR, SOAR, Firewall, IPS, DLP, Identity, Cloud Security, and Email Security.
  • Working knowledge of SOC operations and the detection-to-response lifecycle, including the cost and staffing pressures security teams face.
  • Understanding of PCI, GLBA, SOX, HIPAA, and GDPR as drivers for security decisions.
  • A current view of the threat landscape, including ransomware, identity-based attacks, supply chain risk, and AI-enabled threats.
  • Confidence presenting to audiences from SOC analysts to C-level executives.
  • Able to work on your own in a company that is growing quickly.
  • Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Willing to travel 40%+.
  • Uncommon: experience selling or engineering MDR, XDR, SIEM, SOAR, or AI-driven security platforms.
  • Uncommon: familiarity with CAASM, Digital Risk Protection, or security data pipeline categories.
  • Uncommon: exposure to agentic AI, LLM-driven automation, or SOC AI tooling.
  • Uncommon: established relationships with security leaders in your region.
  • Uncommon: CISSP, GIAC, OSCP, or comparable certifications.
  • Uncommon: a bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent practical experience.
