Description

The team builds autonomous robots that work on dairy farms, in real farm conditions.

You will work alongside robotics, software, systems, electronics and mechanical engineers. Your main focus is making sure the robots are reliable before they reach farms, through simulation, system validation, test infrastructure and software quality. You will also help shape the autonomy stack, including navigation, motion planning and robot behaviour.

The company was founded 75 years ago by two brothers in Maassluis. It now employs 2,500 specialists and supplies automated systems to dairy farmers worldwide.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain simulation environments that speed up robot development and validation.
  • Create automated test frameworks, system-level validation pipelines and CI/CD workflows for robot software.
  • Build tools that make integration, debugging, performance analysis and regression testing faster.
  • Raise software quality through code reviews, automated tests and sound engineering practice.
  • Help shape the autonomy stack in navigation, path planning, motion control and robot behaviour.
  • Own technical solutions from first concept through to deployment on real robots.

Requirements

  • A bachelor's or master's degree in software engineering, computer science, robotics or a related field.
  • Experience with Embedded Linux, Git and C++.
  • Hands-on work with robot simulators such as Gazebo, Isaac Sim, Webots or similar.
  • Knowledge of CI/CD and DevOps practices for robotics software.
  • A whole-system view when you analyse and solve problems.
  • Openness to feedback, curiosity, and the drive to keep learning.
  • Willingness to ask questions, raise concerns and support your colleagues.
  • A broad interest in robotics and a preference for solutions that are both technically sound and practical. Apply if most of these points fit you.

Conditions

Full-time position.

Hybrid work: at least three days a week on the Maassluis Campus, with flexible hours and the option to be on site between 06:00 and 20:00.

Monthly gross salary for junior developers: €4,200 to €6,000.

Monthly gross salary for medior developers: €5,000 to €7,100.

Benefits

  • Up to 8 weeks of vacation a year and a good pension scheme.
  • A learning culture with a wide range of courses from an in-house academy.
  • Daily access to on-campus sports: indoor gym, outdoor padel courts, basketball and volleyball courts, table tennis and table soccer, plus Hyrox workouts and personal training.
  • Free coffee and tea from an in-house barista, with milk from the company farm, and an affordable, healthy canteen.
  • A free shuttle bus between the campus and the metro in Maassluis.
  • An international team that values collaboration, initiative and owning your ideas.
  • Team celebrations, including anniversaries and the Christmas party.
