Project Manager Special Customer Project (m/w/x)

Description

This is a project manager role on special customer projects in semiconductor manufacturing.

The company is a technology leader in semiconductor manufacturing equipment, supplying high-precision lithography optics, photomask systems and process control. About 80 percent of the world's microchips are made using its technologies, and those chips go into smartphones, smart homes and smart factories.

The company is owned by a foundation.

Responsibilities

• Run customer projects in metrology and inspection within semiconductor production environments.
• Be the main link between customers and the home organization, keeping communication clear and making sure both sides understand customer needs and expectations.
• Learn customers' business goals and shape our solutions around them, deploy those solutions in the field, and answer for customer satisfaction.
• Draft detailed plans with timelines, milestones and resource allocation, and keep delivery on schedule, in scope and within budget.
• Resolve customer escalations until the customer is satisfied.
• Trace escalations to their root causes and propose changes that prevent them from recurring.
• Report project status, customer feedback and satisfaction metrics to senior management on a regular basis.

Requirements

• A master's degree in electrical engineering, semiconductor manufacturing, materials science or a related field.
• Solid experience working with customers in semiconductor manufacturing.
• At least 5 years of proven experience as a project manager.
• Working knowledge of project management methods and tools.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for managing complex customer relationships.
• Problem-solving skills and the diplomacy and tact to handle difficult situations.
• Fluent English.
• Optional: project manager experience preferably in a customer-facing role.
• Optional: Korean, Japanese or Mandarin, which is a very strong advantage.

Conditions

Office presence of at least 2 to 3 days per week.
