Description

The team delivers private 5G wireless networks and multi-access edge computing (MEC) solutions, from design and implementation through handoff to support.

You will run several projects at once and lead cross-functional groups across the company's enterprise and wireless units, including Product, IBV Radio Frequency, Regulatory and Construction, and GNT, to deliver private wireless network (PWN) and MEC deployments with high quality.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the customer's single point of contact for all project communication.
  • Own project governance, financial tracking and analysis, partner contracting and management, and risk management.
  • Apply standard project management processes and artifacts, and help develop and improve methods.
  • Plan projects by setting objectives, building work breakdown structures, writing schedules, defining quality acceptance procedures, and documenting the project plan.
  • Run implementation by tracking and evaluating schedules, managing change control, coordinating every organization involved, issuing project reports, and putting controls in place.
  • Oversee the full installation process: ordering equipment and backhaul, RF engineering, infrastructure readiness and construction, installation, turn-up, handoff to ongoing support, and equipment and services invoicing.
  • Finish projects by closing them out and obtaining the customer's agreement to close-out.

Requirements

  • A bachelor's degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Six or more years of relevant experience, gained through work, military service, specialized training, or a combination of these.
  • Six or more years managing technical infrastructure programs and projects.
  • An industry project management certification such as PMP or CAPM.
  • Strong experience leading complex, concurrent work.
  • Even better if you have:
  • Experience in cellular technology, radio frequency, regulatory, or construction.
  • Experience with Smartsheets and Google Docs.
  • Technical industry certifications such as CCNA, JNCIA, or similar.
  • Interest in emerging technologies such as IoT, SDN, and NFV.
  • The ability to influence others and work with many stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills, and a sense of urgency.
  • The ability to work under extreme time pressure and set priorities to meet critical deadlines.
  • The ability to take high-level direction and move a project or internal initiative from start to finish with little help.
  • You are encouraged to apply even if you do not meet every even-better item.
