Associated Director, Complex Program Management

This role leads large programs made up of several workstreams, projects, teams and stakeholders, turning strategy into coordinated delivery.

You are judged on integrated results for customers and the business, not on single project milestones.

The role balances strategic oversight with hands-on program control and acts as the decision point across projects while helping project managers deliver.

Responsibilities

• Set the program vision, outcomes, success measures and roadmap in line with customer and business goals.
• Oversee several linked projects, managing their dependencies, sequencing and trade-offs across scope, schedule and resources.
• Set up and run program governance, covering meeting rhythm, reporting, risk handling and escalation routes.
• Give project managers direction and support so they deliver consistently against shared standards and methods.
• Forecast, track and manage program finances against approved commitments.
• Spot cross-project risks and issues early and reduce them before they affect results.
• Use data and program metrics to monitor progress, forecast outcomes and guide decisions.
• Keep stakeholders at several levels aligned, open and jointly accountable.
• Make sure program deliverables meet agreed quality, compliance and customer expectations.

• Required: solid skills in program governance, planning, risk management and delivery controls.

• Required: experience guiding project managers and cross-functional teams without formal authority.
• Required: skill in turning strategic goals into executable plans with clear outcomes and milestones.
• Required: experience using data, dashboards and metrics to manage performance and anticipate risk.
• Required: ability to keep delivery on track when priorities shift.
• Preferred: program or project management certification, such as PgMP, PMP or PRINCE2.
• Preferred: experience with agile or hybrid delivery models.
• Preferred: familiarity with large-scale IT or transformation programs.
• Preferred: experience managing external partners or vendors.
• Preferred: exposure to customer-facing delivery environments.
