Description

The team is the Manufacturing Strategy & Integration (MS&I) organization within a defense and security systems business, and the role is Organizational Change Management Lead for it.

The organization runs several multi-year, sector-wide and enterprise-wide transformation initiatives. Their focus ranges from early collaboration to training to cycle time reduction, and each needs solid change management plans and delivery to succeed.

You will be the main change management authority for MS&I and report to the MS&I director. You will work alongside the Mission Systems talent and organizational effectiveness group, which follows Prosci methods, to build structured change practices across several projects.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, coordinate and carry out deployment and change work, including estimating the people needed for it, such as communications, learning and development staff, and vendors.
  • Balance the big-picture strategy with day-to-day execution so each project delivers a return that depends on people, from start to finish.
  • With the organizational effectiveness and talent group, build end-to-end change roadmaps based on ADKAR and line them up with enterprise architecture and business goals.
  • Combine the individual project change roadmaps into one phased program roadmap that shows dependencies, key milestones and critical go-live dates.
  • Lead project teams in identifying stakeholders who are affected by or interested in the work. Keep a master stakeholder register that includes impact scores, analysis of how processes and roles are affected, and engagement plans, including plans for resistance.
  • With communication specialists, create a unified communications strategy and plan, and oversee the production of deliverables across multiple channels.
  • Define a training model that can scale across projects, working with learning, development and talent specialists. Build the training roadmap and plans, deliver near-term training, and work with functions on long-term training and PrOP adoption in daily operations.
  • With senior leaders across functions, design sponsorship and stakeholder strategies that keep leaders engaged and committed for the full initiative. Build change strategies for middle and frontline managers and make sure they are carried out on time.

Requirements

  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate clearly at every level.
  • Ability to obtain Prosci certification within 90 days of starting, with the company sponsoring it.
  • Bachelor's degree and at least 8 years of relevant experience leading redeployment and change management, or a Master's degree and at least 6 years of the same.
  • Project management experience.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a US Government Secret clearance.
  • US citizenship.
  • Preferred: PMP certification.
  • Preferred: Prosci certification.
  • Preferred: experience applying technical change management within Agile and SAFe software development lifecycles.
  • Preferred: experience working across multiple functions or programs in the aerospace industry.
