Description

You will own customer needs and business goals for one or more products, and deliver them by leading the development team in line with the Product Manager's roadmap, with a focus on strong user experience and high customer satisfaction.

The company works to create healthier futures, and the team's people are central to that work, which aims to improve lives for people and animals.

Responsibilities

  • Lead cross-functional delivery with development, engineering and other internal teams, so that products, features and releases fit the product vision, roadmap, business goals and market needs.
  • Find problems customers face, then bring teams together and set up working groups to solve them and support business growth.
  • Work with the Product Manager, the UX team and other stakeholders.
  • Keep scope within timescales and budget.
  • Speak for users in every digital product decision.
  • Gather, manage and rank feature requests and requirements by business value, from stakeholders inside and outside the business.
  • Map user journeys and turn needs into clear, ranked product requirements.
  • Keep a short, ranked, clear backlog of user stories and bugs, weighing business needs against technical debt, security and other priorities.
  • Run product demos and feedback sessions, including ongoing sprint demos, to check delivered work and gather stakeholder input for future priorities.
  • Write testable user stories that meet the team's definition of ready, deliver value within one sprint and support the solution goals.
  • Document clear, testable non-functional requirements.
  • Make sure requirements cover system configuration options and set sensible defaults.
  • Make sure requirements address application security, the development process and regulatory and compliance rules.
  • Use Generative AI to help draft user and functional requirements, and judge when AI helps and when it should not be used.
  • Take on other reasonable tasks that suit your skills when needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree, ideally in a related field, or equivalent and proven experience as a Product Owner or Product Manager.
  • At least 1 year's experience as a Business Analyst, Product Owner or Product Manager.
  • Experience with AI tools and Generative AI.
  • Fluent English.
  • Experience with pharmaceutical software, eTMF, Pharmacovigilance and/or Regulatory Affairs tools is preferred but not essential.
  • Experience writing requirements analyses and specification documents that deliver customer results.
  • Experience delivering products with agile methods while working directly with developers and technical teams.
  • A data-driven approach, with experience reading data and turning it into stories that shape product strategy.
  • A thorough understanding of market personas and their challenges.
  • Strong execution, analytical thinking and decision-making, with a knack for designing experiences customers value.
  • Experience defining user journeys and stories and setting quality standards for stories.
  • Requirements analysis, ideally including SaaS and managed service products.
  • Agile Scrum and JIRA.
  • Ability to write BDD scenarios and understand Cucumber and Gherkin.
  • Ability to derive and document non-functional requirements.
  • Ability to explain technical and non-technical ideas to different audiences.
  • Backlog management and refinement.
  • Understanding of the software development lifecycle.
  • Understanding of UX and product design.
  • Highly self-motivated, eager to improve and to get results.
  • A bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, economics, engineering, information systems or a related field, or equivalent experience, is required.
