IT Product Owner (f/m/x)

Description

The team is the technology centre for Central and Eastern Europe within a global bank, based in Bucharest.

Since opening in 2013, the Bucharest site has delivered technology products and services for the whole group and plays a active role in the bank's technology transformation.

The engineering culture is hands-on and values ongoing learning, sharing knowledge, building technical skills and networking.

The team supports important business areas by building and running applications that form part of the bank's core technology platform.

The role suits a strong IT Product Owner who communicates well and works with stakeholders at every level of a client organisation, with empathy and consideration. You will have proven experience reporting to senior management, managing diverse stakeholders and working with technical teams on a global solution. You will help build a new reporting solution used across the world.

Responsibilities

• Build a product vision and explain it clearly to the team.
• Involve business users in defining requirements and in user acceptance testing.
• Turn business needs into models, diagrams, presentations and documents that help the target audience understand the requirements.
• Lead team discussions to reach agreement on scope, design and implementation decisions.
• Support interaction between team members and clients with a service-minded approach.

• Experience building Java applications (such as Java, React, Angular, Tomcat).
• Good understanding of database concepts, SQL, ETL, BI solutions and data analytics.
• Good understanding of Google Cloud services and technologies (such as Terraform, Python, GCS, GKE, BigQuery, Cloud SQL, Airflow, Composer).
• Experience working closely with Product Owners and Business Analysts to align and plan with other parties.
• Skilled at planning the backlog with the team and organising it into a release plan.
• Experience planning the resources needed for implementation, including people and licences.
• Identifies risks and issues early and escalates them appropriately.
• Actively engages stakeholders to build a shared understanding of requirements.
• Shows the ability to use AI tools to raise productivity and improve workflows to solve business problems, while applying sound judgement to use data and AI outputs responsibly and ethically.
• Nice to have: experience in functional analysis, private banking or wealth management.
