Description

The company is a global technology group with about 81,000 employees in 68 countries. It reported 2023 revenue of 18.4 billion euros and invests nearly 4 billion euros a year in research and development, covering defence and security, aeronautics and space, and cybersecurity and digital identity, with work in AI and quantum technology.

The team is building a new agent platform that will change how more than 40,000 engineers work. It connects AI systems, engineering tools and data, and supports a marketplace of AI agents and services.

The company's engineering teams in Romania design and integrate systems for naval and maritime security, air traffic management, satellites, tactical simulation and identity and biometrics.

Responsibilities

  • Map stakeholders, learn what they need, and manage their expectations, risks and issues with practical fixes.
  • Set and maintain the product vision and roadmap for the tooling layer of the LEA team.
  • Own the backlog for tool changes, upgrades, usage policies, integration features and support processes.
  • Discuss new features and their business value with stakeholders.
  • Turn user needs into clear user stories the developers can act on.
  • Rank the backlog by value so the essential features ship first.
  • Keep all stakeholders engaged and satisfied across the product lifecycle.
  • Plan the releases with the other Tribe POs and the EDM.
  • Lead tool upgrades, migrations and deprecations in a way that scales and avoids disruption.
  • Report product status and release progress in the backlog tool.
  • Share needs, capacity plans and training requirements with the EDM. Set budget projections with the PM so the product vision matches the LEA strategy and both corporate and engineering needs.
  • Align tool configuration and lifecycle management with data best practices, with the Tribe Coaches.
  • Track usage, performance and reliability, and drive continuous improvement.
  • Build self-service options such as project bootstrap, quality gates, artifact promotion and pipeline templates.
  • Define usage standards and guardrails for secure, efficient tool use.
  • Work with UX leads to improve the developer experience across tools.
  • Act as the contact for audits, compliance and licensing of the toolchain.

Requirements

  • Understand data design, quality, observability, lineage and metadata management.
  • Have experience managing or integrating tools such as DataFlow, Apache Beam, BigQuery and databases.
  • Have worked with cloud data platforms such as AWS, Azure or GCP. GCP is highly desirable.
  • Know DevOps and CI/CD practices and infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform and CloudFormation.
  • Have managed product strategy. Experience with internal products or platform components is a plus.
  • Think strategically: spot trends and hidden needs, align the product with company strategy, and steer development and rollout through proofs of concept, pilots, MVPs and adoption curves in a domain that is changing.
  • Drive adoption and improve the usability of technical tools.
  • Know developer experience concepts and self-service platform patterns.
  • Track product KPIs such as tool adoption, developer satisfaction, MTTR and failure rates.
  • Use data to decide, with metrics such as acquisition and activation, Net Promoter Score, User Experience Questionnaire and burndown charts.
  • Communicate, coordinate and facilitate across Data, AI, DevOps and Ops, and engage stakeholders remotely across worldwide teams.
  • Be pragmatic and value-driven, analytical, structured and strong at prioritizing.
  • Lead without formal authority and shape technical decisions through product framing.
  • Understand skill management and skill-based activities for engineering topics.
  • Negotiate and manage stakeholders well at every level, including executives.
  • Hold a product management certification such as Professional Scrum Product Owner.
  • Speak English fluently.
