Description

The company makes a password manager, secrets management tools, and passwordless and passkey products, with an open-source base. It was founded in 2016, is headquartered in Santa Barbara, California, and is backed by a global community of security experts and enthusiasts.

This product manager role focuses on how individuals and employees start using the product and make it part of their routine across the browser extension, web app, and desktop apps. You will own the first-run experience, autofill reliability, and everyday vault tasks like searching, organizing, and filling, since these decide whether people stay. You will work with novice and expert users alike, partnering with other PMs, Design, Engineering, QA, and GTM to build features that are simple, trustworthy, and predictable for both individuals and companies rolling out the product across their workforce. You will also work with Marketing, Support, and Customer Success to connect product changes to activation, retention, and fewer support requests. Roadmap choices will draw on customer feedback, usage data, and competitor benchmarks, with attention to both first-time users and power users.

Responsibilities

  • Set the roadmap for core workflows in the password manager across all clients, including onboarding, item creation, search and filtering, organization, and in-app guidance
  • Improve autofill reliability and compatibility across websites, apps, and platforms, including sites that are difficult to fill
  • Design how users sort and find data at scale, keeping things simple for newcomers and powerful for anyone managing thousands of items
  • Map how early experience relates to activation, retention, upgrades, and success of enterprise rollouts
  • Define and track adoption measures such as time to first fill, import completion, weekly active use, and feature use by platform and customer segment
  • Convert feedback from support tickets, community forums, and research into clear, prioritized product decisions
  • Help Sales, Solutions Engineering, and Customer Success show how the everyday experience drives employee adoption in enterprise deployments
  • Report performance metrics, roadmap updates, and wins to leadership and cross-functional partners
  • Use AI tools to speed up spec writing, competitive analysis, data modeling, and rapid prototyping

Requirements

  • At least 4 years of product management experience
  • Experience with user research and user experience design
  • Solid technical understanding, especially of technical users and their needs
  • Ability to turn complex security concepts into intuitive user experiences
  • Ability to discuss architecture and technology tradeoffs with engineers
  • Strong organization and sound prioritization and tradeoff decisions tied to company goals and user needs
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Growth mindset and willingness to learn from others
  • Enthusiasm for open source and for a more secure internet
