Description

The team builds field software that helps utilities in electric, gas, water and telecommunications keep their network records accurate and current.

Field work covers event response, scheduled maintenance and other planned jobs, and the software serves the crews and field engineers doing that work.

The role leads ongoing improvements to the company's core field product, a single app that supports many complex business processes.

The product shapes how quickly and accurately utilities capture data that changes constantly in the field.

Responsibilities

  • Set the strategy, roadmap and delivery plan for workflows inside the field product.
  • Decide priorities using customer needs, technology shifts, regulatory requirements and business impact.
  • Spend time with utility damage assessors, field supervisors and control room staff, and confirm a real problem before writing any requirement.
  • Coordinate with the other product managers who run the field product's lifecycle.
  • Work with engineering, design and UX to ship high-quality releases on a steady schedule, following the Lean operating rhythm.
  • Record roadmaps and priorities in requirements management tools that guide strategy and ongoing improvements.
  • Keep the products feeling like one app with the rest of the field product, working with the UX product manager and peers.
  • Use AI to speed up damage triage, image capture and data quality checks, and use AI tools in your own work.
  • Join customer calls, write positioning material and help account teams win and deliver deals, including with Southern Company and PPL and the accounts that follow them.
  • Help utilities move from older legacy field tools to the modern platform.

Requirements

  • Product management or other management experience with complex enterprise software, ideally in utilities, energy, telecom or another regulated industry.
  • Working knowledge of utility field operations, outage restoration, or ADMS, DMS, OMS and other field maintenance flows. Experience shipping software to the people who use these flows also counts.
  • A record of running several programs at once using a clear, data-driven method.
  • Comfort using AI tools in your own product work.
  • Strong writing and communication, able to turn a messy customer conversation into a clear requirement, a concise roadmap update or a one-page memo.
  • Commercial judgment, with the ability to link a product decision to revenue, cost or customer outcomes.
  • A Lean and Agile mindset, adapting quickly when priorities change and finishing what you start.
  • For US candidates: a Master's degree, or a High School Diploma or GED plus at least 6 years of professional experience.
  • For non-US candidates: a Master's equivalent, or a High School Diploma with relevant professional experience.

Permanent position, fully remote, with occasional travel to customer sites and company offices.

Benefits

  • You will work on software utilities rely on during their most demanding periods, helping them keep infrastructure stable while demand grows fast and restoring service.
  • You will provide value to large Tier 1 and Tier 2 utility and telecom companies, with clear room to grow.
  • The product is single-tenant SaaS on hyperscaler infrastructure, with AI built in through the company's Prism platform.
  • You speak directly with the people who use the product, not only the people who buy it.
  • The product is scaling, and strong product managers move up.
  • Success looks like rising adoption of the field product, making it a core part of both current customers and prospects.
