The company makes a cloud security platform, the Zero Trust Exchange, that connects users, devices and applications from any location. It runs across more than 200 public data centers worldwide and thousands of private edge sites, and is described as the largest in-line cloud security platform of its kind.

This remote role sits in the Digital Experience department and reports to the Director of Product Management. The person acts as the link between field teams and core engineering, with the goal of speeding adoption, easing sales cycles and shortening post-sales time to value for the Zero Trust Branch and Digital Experience solutions.

The team is building an AI-native company and is looking for a Principal Technical Marketing Engineer with deep networking and monitoring skills.

Responsibilities

• Run hands-on technical proofs of concept, architecture demos and pilot evaluations with enterprise prospects and customers to prove capabilities and help close deals
• Build, deploy and keep up physical and virtual networking lab topologies that hold up under load
• Act as the main troubleshooting contact and escalation point between field teams and core engineering
• Write production-ready technical content, including step-by-step deployment runbooks, reference architectures and competitive test plans
• Lead field enablement sessions, hands-on training workshops and webinars for sales engineers, professional services and partner architects

• Have 10+ years of hands-on experience in technical marketing, product management or solutions architecture
• Be highly skilled at building and maintaining multi-vendor physical and virtual network lab topologies
• Be advanced in packet analysis and troubleshooting with Wireshark, tcpdump and traffic generators, diagnosing routing problems, latency and jitter, MTU issues and NAT or firewall traversal
• Preferred: Show curiosity about AI tools and a record of adopting new technology to improve daily work and problem-solving
• Preferred: Have hands-on experience with cloud network frameworks such as AWS Transit Gateways and VPCs, GCP Cloud Routers or Azure Virtual WAN, connecting distributed branches to cloud environments
• Preferred: Have prior experience with network observability and monitoring solutions

Conditions

Remote position, full time

Base pay range for US locations is $196,000 - $245,000 USD, based on role and level; the actual offer may be higher or lower depending on skills, experience and education or training
