Principal System and Application Engineer

Description

The company makes wireless connectivity products that operate above 50 GHz and include multi-gigabit high-speed interfaces. This role helps customers adopt them by leading engagements and creating the reference designs, demos and technical material they need.

The title in the original posting is Senior Systems & Applications Engineer.

Responsibilities

• Guide key customers through every stage, from evaluation to production.
• Establish system use cases and reference architectures.
• Oversee the creation of evaluation kits, demo platforms and hardware design kits.
• Author and review application notes, design guides and user manuals.
• Test products at the system level and help customers resolve complex debugging issues.
• Teach customers and field engineers how to use the products.
• Feed customer requirements into product definition and roadmap discussions.
• Coach junior engineers.

Requirements

• A master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field, or a bachelor's degree with equivalent experience.
• At least 8 years in systems, applications or hardware engineering.
• Solid understanding of high-speed interfaces such as USB, DisplayPort and eUSB2, plus I²C, SPI and UART.
• Experience with RF or mmWave systems.
• Antenna design experience is a plus.
• Strong practical skills in lab work and board-level debugging.
• A track record of working directly with customers.
• Fluent English.
