Description

This is a hybrid role, with an average of 2 days per week in an HPE office.

The company runs an edge-to-cloud business that helps customers connect, protect, analyze and act on data and applications across edge and cloud environments.

The engineering team designs, delivers and supports private cloud and engineered systems for demanding enterprise customers.

The aim is to move support from reactive work to proactive, AI-assisted engineering that improves reliability, builds resilient integrations, automates operations and stops issues before customers see them.

Within the first stretch of the role, you become the go-to escalation point for the hardest technical problems.

Success also means a more scalable factory-to-cloud ecosystem, fewer repeat incidents, AI tools that raise engineering and support productivity, and a more proactive and automated way of operating.

The ideal person is a builder and problem solver who looks for patterns, automates repetitive work, questions inefficient processes, and sees AI as a practical tool for smarter systems and faster decisions.

Job level TCP05, Engineering function.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the investigation and fix of complex production issues spanning applications, APIs, cloud services, integrations, data pipelines and factory systems.
  • Run root-cause analysis and push for permanent fixes that hold up at scale.
  • Design, build and maintain integrations between factory environments, cloud platforms, internal systems and third-party applications.
  • Build automation that cuts manual work in onboarding, diagnostics, deployments, monitoring and support.
  • Use AI and LLM tools to speed up troubleshooting, incident response, knowledge sharing and day-to-day operations.
  • Work with Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations, Product and Customer Success on high-impact business problems.

Requirements

  • 7 to 10 years in software engineering, sustaining engineering, integration engineering, SRE, production engineering or a closely related role.
  • Strong troubleshooting across cloud platforms, distributed systems, APIs, integrations and production environments.
  • Hands-on experience with Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, Go, Java or similar languages.
  • Experience with databases, monitoring, logging, networking and automation.
  • Strong communication, collaboration and problem-solving skills.
  • Preferred: experience in manufacturing, factory, IoT, edge or operational technology.
  • Preferred: experience with Azure, AWS or GCP.
  • Preferred: familiarity with MQTT, OPC UA, SCADA, MES, PLCs or similar technologies.
  • Preferred: knowledge of Kubernetes, CI/CD, observability and modern DevOps practices.
  • Preferred: experience with AI, LLMs, agents, RAG, vector databases or AI-powered engineering tools.
