MRTT Service Bulletin Engineer

Description

The role is a Service Bulletin Engineer position in Getafe, Spain, within the Customer Services Engineering Support department of the company's defence and space unit, focused on the MRTT platform.

A Service Bulletin is the official document that gives operators the technical data needed to apply approved modifications or carry out inspections on aircraft already in service.

You will deliver Service Bulletins on time and at good quality so customers can modify or upgrade their aircraft. This supports airworthiness and safety requirements, customer satisfaction and contractual commitments. You are accountable end to end for time, cost and quality of release for the Service Bulletins assigned to you.

Responsibilities

• Follow up on subcontractor deliverables for the Service Bulletins under your responsibility.
• Agree with all relevant organisations a corrective action plan for each significant in-service technical issue.
• Assess difficulties with each agreed action plan and propose alternative actions where needed.
• Work with the Design Office and, as required, agree technical solutions with them.
• Coordinate actions with the Airworthiness Office where safety is involved.
• Manage and coordinate assigned Service Bulletin incidents and technical query responses to customers, with Front Office support.
• Support customers and MRO organisations with questions about issued Service Bulletins.
• Support customers and MRO organisations in implementing the Service Bulletins.
• Expect some business travel.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of experience in Customer Services, Design Office, Manufacturing Engineering or MAP.
• An engineering degree or equivalent.
• Negotiation-level English and Spanish.
• Experience with the MRTT or A400M/LTA is desirable.
• Experience with Service Bulletins is a plus.
• Young graduates with an the company internship will be considered a plus.
• Ability to resolve conflicts proactively.
• International business experience.
• Effective decision-making.
• Assertiveness.

Conditions
